Becca Winstone’s chase is over. ABC has cancelled Missing, their Thursday night TV series, after one season and 10 episodes.
Starring Ashley Judd, Missing follows a former CIA Agent turned single mom as she searches for her missing son in Europe. The action show also stars Adriano Giannini, Nick Eversman, Cliff Curtis, Tereza Voriskova, and Sean Bean.
Missing got off to a disappointing start on March 15th, registering a 2.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 10.60 million viewers. It was in third place for the demo and second place in total viewership.
In week two, the numbers took a significant drop, to a 1.6 rating with 8.81 million. Over the next several weeks, Missing fell lower and lower. The most recent episode hit a new low with a 1.1 demo rating and 6.37 million total viewers.

Overall, Missing’s been averaging a 1.5 rating with 7.70 million viewers. If they had more episodes in the season, those averages would surely keep sinking lower.
On our ABC Ratings Report Card, which measures the relative demo success of TV shows on the network, Missing has a “D-” for a grade. Of the 22 scripted shows on the network this season, Missing ranks 21st — just above the already-cancelled Charlie’s Angels remake.
With low ratings and steep declines, it’s no wonder that ABC decided not to renew Missing for a second season.
The series finale airs next Thursday and will hopefully include enough closure to satisfy the viewers that stuck with it.

What! I have been waiting and watching. I loved that show….Ashley and all the characters. Now days they don’t give a show a chance.
I can’t believe they cancelled this show! I love it! Please please do another season. The cast is amazing, I mean Ashley Judd, Sean bean, etc tons of amazing talent in this show.
Unbelievable. Why are all the best shows cancelled while so much garbage continues to air? Maybe Netflix or another network will pick it up.
Why is it every good show is cancelled? Ratings? Do they really know what the public enjoys and who watches what? What about those of us that must tape shows….are they counted? Do they ever verbally ask the public? I sincerely doubt it. The network is completely wrong on this one. They should apologize to all involved in the show. It was a winner. One that many people looked forward to the 2nd season. Where is the closer. Having kept a losing show on such a lost for so many years makes me wonder who makes these decisions.
I am som annoyed that missing is no longer on. There are so few things worth while in prime time. Not eeryone is into reality (NOT) Tv. Let’s do someting smart that will appeal to adults with the capibility of clear thingking. I am dissappointed
That really sucks, I don’t get it.. Why missing it is the most excited serie that there is. I really want to know what happend to Becca Winstone.. I hope it will start again.
This is so disappointing! Its amazing to me the shows that are cancelled compared to the ones that just keep going and going. I did not miss one episode. Each one kept me going and wanting to see more. This show was not like anything else on TV. The networks continue to add more Law & Order style cops shows and reality TV! Its all the same! I am so disappointed.

So disappointed, it was refreshing to see a show that was actually worth watching and not some reality bull that is almost shameful to think tv has resorted too and does not entertain just shows how utterly stupid some ppl can be, very disappointed, but what else is new, tv is almost boring now days!

I totally agree. Finally there was some sort of fresh air on tv. No more trashy reallity or talent show but a serious new and exciting tv series. I was really looking forward to more of Becca Winstone. Actually I was truely hooked for as long as Missing was on tv.

Missing is a exciting show to watch. Again ABC makes another stupid move. Better keep Nashville on!
This really stinks. What happens to Becca? I hate it when a show ends with a cliffhanger that will never be answered.
Excellent and very intesting show….it kept me on the edge of my sit…….my whole family watched it and we eagerlly are waiting to see it come back….
