Some new and familiar faces are coming to season five of Nashville. Deadline reports Cameron Scoggins has been promoted to series regular on the CMT TV show.
Scoggins plays tech billionaire Zach Welles on the country music drama, which also stars Hayden Panettiere, Charles Esten, Clare Bowen, Sam Palladio, Chris Carmack, Jonathan Jackson, Lennon Stella, and Maisy Stella. CMT has already renewed the series for a sixth season.
Additionally, the second half of season five will feature newcomer Odessa Adlon, who will play Live, “a teen runaway who has ditched a bad situation to live on the streets among a loose collection of other runaway teens.”
The show’s fifth season returns to CMT on June 1st at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Season six is slated to begin in early 2018.

Absolutely! I had started watching the show in the middle of Season 4 and then spent a month going back and starting with Season 1 to see how it had developed to the point where I picked it up. Great scripts and genuine actors make it a great show.
I must say when Rayne died, I felt the lifeblood of the show was gone, she had such a presence. But I’m willing to see how the other actors will fill that void.
