Though it hasn’t been a ratings success, ABC has kept Nashville on the air. Will the numbers continue to fall this season? Is there a chance that it could be cancelled or is it essentially guaranteed to be renewed for a fourth season (because of potential syndication profits)? We’ll have to wait and see.
The Nashville TV show continues to follow the lives and careers of country music superstars Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) and Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton). The rest of the cast includes Clare Bowen, Eric Close, Charles Esten, Sam Palladio, Jonathan Jackson, Chris Carmack, Lennon Stella, Maisy Stella, Will Chase, and Oliver Hudson.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/8 update: ABC has renewed Nashville for a fourth season.
Final season averages: 1.34 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 5.16 million total viewers.

Due to a Nielsen glitch, some of the early ratings of the 2014-15 season were revised a few weeks later.
For comparisons: The second season of Nashville averaged a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 5.34 million total viewers.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you still like the Nashville TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or be renewed for a fourth season?
Keep the show on, do not cancel it.
Please do not cancel this show. I enjoy the drama and the country music that is played. I think the ratings are pretty descent compared to so many other shows out their. Please another network pick it up it the current one doesn’t have any sense.
PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL! This is so much better than most other tv shows. The music is the best!

This is my favorite show on TV! I truly hope this show is not canceled. When I watched tonight for the “Final” I was just sick. I want this show to go on. I love it so much and love all the actors. I am eager to see what happens next. It’s like closing a chapter of a book before it is finished and you can’t wait to get back. This book is only in it’s 4th chapter. There is so much more to read about. Please give us another season. I’m a faithful follower.
I hope they continue the series Nashville on. This is our favorite program. Please do not cancel it.
no I like this show
This show is our favorite!!!! PLEASE DONT CANCEL! Every show has drama, romance and fantastic music, and fantastic writers! We’re so hooked and can’t wait for the next episode!
Nashville is an awesome series which should not be cancelled. There are so many other series that aren’t a tenth as good as this series and they are still on the air. Please reconsider. Love the talent as well. I look forward to every week when this show airs and am so disappointed in hearing the cancellation.
