The Night Shift: Brendan Fehr Hopeful for Season Four Renewal from NBC

Don’t worry. It’s not cancelled yet. And Roswell vet, Brendan Ferh, is hopeful The Night Shift TV show will be renewed for a fourth season on NBC, but that doesn’t mean he’s not a little surprised by the wait. While the third season of Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah’s summer medical drama earned solid seasonal ratings, the Peacock Network has not yet renewed The Night Shift season four, even though it picked up season three in May of 2015.

The Night Shift TV series cast also includes: Eoin Macken, Jill Flint, Ken Leung, Robert Bailey, Jr., JR Lemon, and Tanaya Beatty. Merle Dandridge, Sarah Jane Morris, Jennifer Beals, AnnaLynne McCord, and Kyla Kenedy recur.

Star Brendan Fehr – who plays Drew in the show – told Digital Spy that he’s hopeful of a renewal but that he’s also rather frustrated.

“We have heard no news on that,” he told us. “Which is quite surprising. We were the number one scripted show in the summer. I don’t think there’s a number higher than one!

“I don’t know what our network is looking for us to do in order to get that pickup. I think it’ll inevitably come, but the fact we’ve waited this long is a little frustrating, but we just laugh it off and it just bands us together more.

“I’ve learned in life that it’s not about proving other people wrong, although that’s really nice to do sometimes, but it’s about proving ourselves right, and we’ve done that. If they want to make us sit here and wait for it then we will!”
