The Powells may have super powers but they weren’t strong enough to save their TV series. No Ordinary Family has been cancelled after one season on the air.
No Ordinary Family revolves around suburban family who, while on vacation, crash into Amazon River and gain special abilities. The cast includes Michael Chiklis, Julie Benz, Autumn Reeser, Jimmy Bennett, Kay Panabaker, Tate Donovan, Christina Chang, and Romany Malco.
The drama had a decent debut last September with a 3.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 10.69 million total viewers. Unfortunately, the ratings didn’t stay at that level and dropped by 16% in week two and then 15% in week three. The numbers kept declining and went as low as a 1.2 demo rating and just 4.26 million viewers in March.

The network cut the episode order but it was already clear by that point that the show was finished. ABC pre-empted one installment and bumped the penultimate episode to Saturday nights, an evening when few are watching. The first season of No Ordinary Family ended up averaging a 1.8 in the demo and 6.4 million viewers, making it one of the lowest dramas of the ABC season.
ABC has now officially cancelled No Ordinary Family. All 20 episodes have aired. Hopefully, at some point, the producers will share what they had planned for the future of the series.

i ayou m extremely disappointed that now 2 of my favorite shows are cancelled, what is the fjdsjosaj sence of even watching skdjfiosdj tv when all you kdsjckof do is cancell them. You should truly be ashamed of yourself. I hope that you have a hard time to sleep. This was a clean show I loved watching it with my son Denis, who is now moving out b-cause he just bought a house and this show was the last things that we did 2gether. I really hate what you have done
…..it’s obvious to me and a lot of my friends that the execs at ABC have no idea what they are doing…@!$%^&*#!!!!….another good show bites the dust due to their inability to connect with what the viewing public likes to see…screw the Ratings…the Ratings are a joke,….that’s why more of the viewing audience watch Cable
when i saw in the tv that this show is called no ordinary family i wasnt impressed at all but when i watch one episode i want to watch more and more and now you cancelled it why why why you dont impress people with amazing trailers :)) pls keep this show on

So disappointed that No Ordinary Family was canceled. My husband and I loved watching it. We love Sci-Fi and super hero shows and this combined the two and it was fairly decent in language as well as morals. It was also fresh and new, not a copy cat show. Not many of those around. Could use more shows like it!

Don’t cancel no ordinary family just change it to a new time slot or more the show to a new network like tnt or sci-fi.

Are family just loved On ordinary Family when you move it around for different times that was the dumest thing , no wonder you lost ratings. I can’t believe the family shows get trashed and crap that no one will watch in our house is still on.

Finally some good tv got cancelled? No!! It was a really good tv show and everytime I watched it I wanted to watch more. I’m so pissed because the acting wasn’t bad, good plot line, funny and all the emotions were great. Now I’m angry, >.< it was a good tv show!!
My husband and I loved this show. It was good clean entertainment and I thought the plot was great. So disappointed it has been cancelled!! There is so much garbage on tv anymore

Well ive beem waiting to see when the “no ordinary family” series would come back on, amd today i just found out the tv show is canceled!…ughhh..and that was my FAVORITE show like ever!..gosh i cant believe they canceled it!..im just bummed…and very angry!…ok bye
