Good news for two recurring performers likely spells great news for fans of ABC’s October Road.
Actors Lindy Booth (as Pizza Girl) and Rebecca Field (as Janet the Planet) have recently been promoted from recurring guests to regular castmembers — for the next season of Road. Though the drama series has not officially been renewed for another season, this backstage move strongly indicates that ABC will renew Road.
Had they remained recurring guests, Field and Booth would have been free to take on other roles and test for new show pilots. This bump in status, prior to the end of October Road’s first season on Thursday night, keeps the actors locked in for next season when their characters’ storylines would presumably be expanded.

I LOVE THIS SHOW… IT IS MY FAVORITE!!! I really really hope ABC renews this show! It has become my favorite! PLEASE RENEW IT!
This is the best show to come along in a couple of years! I watch it Thursday night and than watch the episode again online over the weekend. The actors are perfectly cast for their roles!

If you missed the finale you can watch it on ABC.com then search for October Road or click on the link for streaming episodes. All the episodes are on there. You will have to install the player, but it doesn’t take long at all. Hope it works out so that you don’t miss the amazing finale.

I just watched the season finale on my tivo this morning – please renew this show…I need to know what happens with Nick, Hannah and Aubrey. This is the best show on prime time right now! Someone start a petition to ABC!! lol.
This is a really good show with so much potential for all the cast, it is different from all the others out there (crime shows, hospital shows, reality shows) – it has been a refreshing change. I hope this good news for “pizza girl” and “janet” will prove true for a second season.

October Road has to get renewed. Awesome show my family loves to watch it after grey’s anatomy which i love, I also liked Men in Trees so when they can figure out all the time slots I will definitely be watching all of them if they bring it back. Bring it back PLEASE
