Are you a fan of Outsiders? WGN America just cancelled the TV series after two seasons. What do you think? Do you think it should have been renewed? Would you watch a third season on another channel?
Airing on Tuesday nights, the Outsiders drama follows the Farrell clan, a tight-knit family who reside in the rugged hills of Appalachia and come into conflict with the surrounding population. The cast includes David Morse, Thomas M. Wright, Ryan Hurst, Joe Anderson, Gillian Alexy, Kyle Gallner, Christina Jackson, Francie Swift, and Phyllis Somerville.
Ratings have never been great for Outsiders, but it’s been one of the highest-rated original scripted shows on WGN America. Currently, season two is averaging a 0.21 rating in the 18-49 demo and 780,000 viewers — down by 26% in the demo when compared to the first season. Now, it seems that the upcoming season two finale, scheduled for April 25th, will also serve as the series finale.
Or, will it? Sony Pictures Television is reportedly shopping a third season of Outsiders to other outlets. The show’s ratings wouldn’t seem to be a strong selling point but, these days, you never know.

I love the Outsiders extremely disappointed that WGN will not renew this series. I will watch is on any other available station or even on Netflix. WGN should pick up more derives like this.

I was very disappointed that a series was on that I could relate to and enjoy, then poof, the wgn decides they aren’t going to continue with what they started.

There HAS to be a 3rd season! I loved it so much I bought both seasons on DVD. I don’t care what channel its on!
