Are you a fan of Outsiders? WGN America just cancelled the TV series after two seasons. What do you think? Do you think it should have been renewed? Would you watch a third season on another channel?
Airing on Tuesday nights, the Outsiders drama follows the Farrell clan, a tight-knit family who reside in the rugged hills of Appalachia and come into conflict with the surrounding population. The cast includes David Morse, Thomas M. Wright, Ryan Hurst, Joe Anderson, Gillian Alexy, Kyle Gallner, Christina Jackson, Francie Swift, and Phyllis Somerville.
Ratings have never been great for Outsiders, but it’s been one of the highest-rated original scripted shows on WGN America. Currently, season two is averaging a 0.21 rating in the 18-49 demo and 780,000 viewers — down by 26% in the demo when compared to the first season. Now, it seems that the upcoming season two finale, scheduled for April 25th, will also serve as the series finale.
Or, will it? Sony Pictures Television is reportedly shopping a third season of Outsiders to other outlets. The show’s ratings wouldn’t seem to be a strong selling point but, these days, you never know.

ABSOLUTELY!! Yes, yes, YES! I would watch The Outsiders for every season they put out. It’s a great show! Since WGN wasn’t smart enough to keep this great show rolling, we all need another network to pick this up. Netflix, Fox, CW33….whomever! Just as long as we get this series back.
This is a great show, with interesting characters and plot lines. I’m really upset that it was cancelled. PLEASE, PLEASE bring it back for Season 3!!! Ya can’t leave us Farrell Fans hanging like this :(. GED GED YA!!
Renew this series!! I loved this show. There is not much to watch now a days.
My partner won’t watch much tv – but the outsiders was the only drama series that captivated him! We’re both disappointed that WGN canceled series 3, and hope somebody else picks it up!!
Yes I’m still very upset this show was cancelled!!!! Netflix would be a good place for it to go!!! I love Outsiders and somebody needs to pick it back up!!! It was a great show!!
