Streaming on the Amazon Prime Video paid subscription platform, Patriot stars Michael Dorman, Michael Chernus, Terry O’Quinn, Kathleen Munroe, Kurtwood Smith, Aliette Opheim, Chris Conrad, Julian Richings, Gil Bellows, and Marcus Toji.
This political thriller follows intelligence officer John Tavner (Dorman). With only his unsafe “non-official cover” as a mid-level employee at an industrial piping firm, Tavner is on assignment to stop Iran from going nuclear. Lingering PTSD, governmental ineptitude, and meeting the requirements of his cover, cause spiraling blunders which threaten his mission. His penchant for smoking pot and writing all too confessional folks songs don’t help matters. And then there’s the trail of dead and maimed bodies he leaves in his wake.
The pilot episode of Patriot was first released in November 2015 with the rest of the first season being unveiled in February 2017. The show was renewed for a second season in April 2017 and those 8 episodes were released in November 2018. With the cancellation, the spy series is capped with a total of 18 episodes.

This was one of the funniest shows I have ever binged. Like others, I was waiting for season 3 to drop so I could inhale it in short order. Either Amazon please reconsider, or find a way to sell the show to someone with some sense!
This show is brilliant in all aspects…writing, directing acting. I’ve been waiting for info on release of third season and now devastated at the moronic decision to leave Lakeman in the dust. Amazon you best better reconsider!
Lakeman died along with the show upon crossing the English Channel – too many jellyfish making decisions at Amazon!! Long live John Tavner!
This is terrible decision. I’ve watched a lot. And people don’t know about but when I’ve got multiple people to down and watch they really like it. Please reconsider. The mix of music, and the torn John tavner is great with great supporting actors. We need to petition amazon.
Aww that’s terrible such a great show. Ive watched it through 3 times now haha. Hopefully they will reconsider. It was so witty and dry. Well here’s to hoping.
I think this would be a big mistake for Amazon!! The series is absolutely brilliant and top notch, conpared to the other productions.Also, I see that most people love it! I hope Amazon will reconsider its decision 😐
This show was amazing! Maybe Amazon should give shows a chance to build up steam and advertise them instead of relying solely on big name titles and stars. Goliath season 2 was crap! Patriot was so weird that Lakeman could have done anything. At least Condor is on.

Dude, this show was he fun funniestcstuff I even seen in a very long time. Its mega star cast are classic and the humor is made for those who truly understand smart comedy. I’ve read some of the stars are leaving, but even if it takes time and cash, I need this show back! It’s genius and heck, if I can do anything to help I will!

What a HUGE bummer. I just recently discovered this brilliant series and now count it among my all-time favorites. What a classy freakin cast. Why do so many really great shows get cancelled after just a couple of seasons. Sigh. I may have to write a song about it.
I can think of many a tat that should be cancelled instead of this very good slice of TV.
Perpetual Grace, Ltd. is very good, but not as good as Patriot. At least the creators are still out there making great TV!
