NBC has released a bit of information about their upcoming comedy series, People Are Talking. The half-hour series will debut this fall and will air on Friday nights at 8:30pm, leading out of Undateable.
Here’s the info:
PEOPLE ARE TALKING
If you can think it, they will say it. From producer Will Packer (“Ride Along”) and director Pam Fryman (“How I Met Your Mother”) comes this unabashed new comedy about two diverse couples who are both neighbors and best friends. As they go through life side-by-side, they can’t help but analyze and obsess about everything. From topics like sex and race, to the fact that the trusted new babysitter might just be a porn star, nothing is out of bounds for this wildly outspoken foursome. The cast includes Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Tone Bell and Bresha Webb.
DJ Nash serves as writer and executive producer. Will Packer and director Pam Fryman (pilot) also executive produce. “People Are Talking” is produced by Universal Television and Will Packer Productions.
What do you think? Do you plan to tune in to check out this new TV show? Do you think it will be a hit? Cancelled after one season?
The best part of this show is probably the trailer. I’ll watch a couple of episodes to feel it out. But like Tundra said, NBC is notorious for dumping shows. I really hate when they bring on a show and then never finish it by dropping it during mid-season of the show. Your left with the feeling you wasted your time in liking something because you never get closure…you never get to see how it’s played out. Just because the NBC say-so’s get on their period and dump shows, doesn’t mean the rest of us doesn’t like it.
I saw the preview for the new show People Are Talking and I think it looks so funny. I love the fact Mark Paul Gossaeler from Saved By The Bell is in it. I loved Mark Paul Gossaeler as Zack from Saved By The Bell. When I saw the preview just now of this new show I thought it looked so good. Especially since Mark Paul Gossaeler is in it from Saved By The Bell. I love Mark Paul Gossaeler and I love Saved By The Bell. I have always watched Saved By The Bell when I was a kid… Read more »
Something tells me that if you find “Two Broke Girls” offensive … “People are Talking” won’t fit the bill either … Just saying, my opinion, thanks …
Might have been worth checking out because the trailer does show some pretty good cohesiveness between the cast, and some interesting writing. But then I went back to see what channel they were on (NB See Ya) and figure why watch something they will cut right about the time you decide you’re into the show? NBC has gotten to the point where it’s not worth checking any new show until it’s been renewed…..Which pretty much makes launching new programs a recipe to fail
This is a snooze fest. There are a lot of shows that should have been kept but weren’t.
