And it’s one, two, three strikes you’re out at the old ball game. As expected, the Pitch TV show has been cancelled by FOX. There will be no season two for the female-led MLB drama.
The Pitch TV series stars Kylie Bunbury as the inspirational, young pitcher, Ginny Baker — the first woman to play Major League Baseball. The FOX cast includes Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Ali Larter, Mark Consuelos, Dan Lauria, Mo McRae, Meagan Holder, and Tim Jo.
Pitch Season One: A Look at the Ratings
The first season of Pitch averaged a 0.83 rating in the 18-49 year old viewer demographic and an average total audience of 3.032 million viewers. Compared to the other FOX TV shows we’re tracking, the Pitch cancellation comes as no surprise.
Deadline reports that although the writers were released two weeks ago, the producers were notified of the Pitch TV series cancellation, on Monday.

Boo! I loved pitch! They really need to bring it back!
This totally sucks. Loved that show it deserved a 2nd season. But then fox always pulls the plug too fast too soon especially with a strong female lead.
I am disappointed. I truly loved the storyline of the show. Will they allow the show to finish or end the storyline??
I am very disappointed. Pitch was getting better and better and was a story seldom told. Maybe another network could pick it up.

I had been hoping this show would be back. I looked forward to each week’s story. Disappointed to say the least. I don’t follow many tv shows, but this was one of them and I thought it was well done.
This is one of the few shows I have been checking on if it would come back. It was cased great. I blame FOX! Poor marketing for time slot. It’s a hit show!!!!
Me my dad really loved pitch and we are upset that it got cancelled. I wish there could have been a little hope for it to continue.

Very disappointed…we really enjoyed the storyline and a look into MLB. I think FOX dropped the ball on this one.
Biggest disappointment of the season. Really a shame that they didn’t get a second season. I think i watched every episode multiple times.
That’s a really shame. I liked the show a lot and really wanted to see where the writers took Ginny and Mike. I loved the female MLB pitcher angle. Couldn’t you just have kept it as a ‘summer series’ for those of us who loved it??? There seem to be less and less things I watch on FOX these days. All the good stuff gets cancelled.
That’s a great idea! I thought it was a summer series so got on to see when it was going to start up and saw this disturbing news. Tv is becoming a big let down
I watched pitch I really liked it. It was a good family TV show. It seems that now a days they rather keep shows on that has violence in them. I really wish another network would pick pitch and keep the show going. I believe the show is very good.
I’m so disappointed this show was cancelled. The storyline was intriguing, the chemistry between the Jenny and Mike was intense, and the writing was good. Hopefully, Netflix or another network will consider picking this show up. Fox has made another short sighted mistake cancelling this show.
Yet another example of “brilliant but cancelled” TV shows. I am really sad that this show was cancelled by FOX. I don’t feel like FOX gave it enough of a chance to find its audience. The casting was pitch perfect (pun intended!), especially Kylie Bunbury. I think she provided a believable relatable character and the premise of the plot is certainly intriguing. I hope that another outlet might pick this series up because I would love to see more of Ginny’s story.
That is to bad. My family really enjoyed it. My girls all play ball and fell I love with Ginny.
