In 2009, the Prison Break TV show was cancelled after four seasons on FOX. Now the network is bringing back the crime drama thriller as a “limited event” series. While an ending has been crafted for the fifth season of Prison Break, the writers have said if this installment is a ratings success, there could be future seasons. Could Prison Break be cancelled again? Will it be renewed for season six? Stay tuned.
Airing on the FOX television network, Prison Break stars Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, Sarah Wayne Callies, Mark Feuerstein, Amaury Nolasco, Robert Knepper, Rockmond Dunbar, Paul Adelstein, Augustus Prew, Rick Yune, and Inbar Lavi. The series centers on Michael Scofield (Miller), who once resolved to help his brother Lincoln Burrows (Purcell), escape from death row. In the revival, despite being presumed dead, clues indicate Michael may still be alive. Lincoln reunites with Michael’s wife, Sara (Callies), to engineer a huge escape.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. Historical note: The network ratings game has changed a lot since Prison Break last aired on FOX as a regular series. The fourth season, which aired as part of the 2008-09 broadcast season, averaged a 1.8 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 5.33 million viewers. It ranked 115th for the season, out of 201 network shows.

Please renew Prison Break!!!! Its such a great show… its hard to find great shows nowadays.
The revival of Prison Break has been a breathe of fresh air compared to all the repetitive shows airing these days. It takes you away from all the same old crime shows, or shows that are full of fictional monsters and fictional what if sitiations. It gets the veiwers engaged in a action packed adventure storyline that isnt your average tv series that are usually more like a reality show then a real storyline. I believe the series should continue, there should definitely do more seasons of prison break.
Prison break season 6 come to Somalia
Prison Break is by far my favourite TV show and the only one I even watch! IT’S A 10/10 FROM ME. I hope that they renew the series and potentially make many more seasons. 9 episodes are not enough 🙁
Please do season 6 of prison break , 9 episodes is quite short . Amazing chemistry between michael and sara and they are my #1 favorite couple on tv series .

Please renew Prison Break for a season 6! It is the best TV show I’ve ever watched and it has continued to be my all time favorite series. Nothing has held my interest as much as this show. It truly is the best ever written.
Please keep the show! Ran into Legends of Tomorrow, Fell in love with Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller which caused me to find Prison Break. After crashing through netflix I was thrilled to find it revived…I have just caught up, and can’t wait for the next episode. Purcell and miller make the greatest team!
Thats how I found prison break too. Dom and Went on Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Then the netflix binge watching of prison break…. Loved it. Now it stinks waiting a week to see the next episode. I love the brotherhood you can feel from Michael and Link. Their real life friendship shows through. I hope they give us a season 6!
