This medical drama follows what happens when top medical professionals team up with cutting-edge tech experts as they try to push the boundaries of modern medicine and find revolutionary ways to save lives.
Doctor Walter Wallace (Dermot Mulroney) is a disgraced but brilliant surgeon who is recruited by a young Silicon Valley tech billionaire, James Bell (Augustus Prew). Bell builds the ultimate cutting-edge hospital, Bunker Hill, that treats only the most rare and insurmountable medical mysteries — at no cost to the patient.
Wallace soon learns that Bell is harboring a secret, and the good doctor begins to question just what the young founder is really trying to achieve.
Also on the team are Doctor Zoe Brockett (Odette Annable), Doctor Talaikha Channarayapatra (Reshma Shetty), Doctor Malik Verlaine (Aaron Jennings), Doctor Scott Strauss (Ward Horton), and Angie Cheng (Brenda Song).
Episode #13 — Lift Me Up
Angie tries to target her mother’s illness using radical nanobot technology, but she looks to Scott for help when her mother prefers using traditional methods. Also, when a graffiti artist with a clotting disorder falls from a bridge, Walter, Malik and Zoe attempt to use suspended animation to stop his internal bleeding. And Walter is put in an awkward position when Julianna discovers James used the unapproved GSS drug on Louis Keating.
First aired: January 26, 2017.
What do you think? Do you like the Pure Genius TV show on CBS? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
This is a great new tv show — very creative and interesting. There are very few shows on that are intellectual so I hope CBS will keep this show on.
I look forward to watching this show every week. It’s a breath of fresh air from the usual formula medical shows! The characters give the honest feel of working together & bouncing ideas off one another. CBS – give this show a shot! It deserves a chance to find its’ fans & ratings!

Santa likes Pure Genius.
Such a breathe of fresh air to watch a show that supports a positive theme, higher intellect and imagination, not to mention no violence and filth. I don’t watch much TV, but I definitely watch Pure Genius. Thank you!
Absolutely love this show and look forward to watching it each week. It is very unique and encourages out of the box thinking. The cast members interact well and I think Augustus Prew has really nailed the character of James Bell. What a breath of fresh air! Please be sure to renew this series because it is a keeper!
I love this show. I hope CBS gives it a chance. Please do not cancel this show.
Love this show and the acting is very impressive week after week and not just the series regulars!
The story lines are varied but interesting and apply to today’s audience!

Exellent show! One of my favorite shows on t.v. If cbs cancels this show ill make it my mission to not watch cbs anymore.
Love this show. Extremely interesting on what is on the horizon in the medical field. Always enjoyed Dermot Mulroney and glad to see him on a TV series. Please keep this show.
This show is fabulous. One of the best new shows this season.
Superb show keeps your attention it’s so interesting on the outcome of all the patients and the treatment provided I guess it’s all we could hope for which is hope
I am always worried when an intelligent show is presented with little hype. This has great possibility and is offering medical solutions that really are in use somewhere. It helps all of us to learn from it. Also good writing. No one I talk with has ever heard of it.
