A couple weeks ago, FOX shifted their low-rated Rake series to Friday nights. Now, the show is on the move again.
Rake follows a lawyer (Greg Kinnear) who tries to do good but just can’t seem to get beyond his numerous addictions that cause him so much trouble. The cast also includes John Ortiz, Necar Zadegan, Bojana Novakovic, David Harbour, Tara Summers, Miranda Otto, and Ian Colletti.
The series is being replaced by Kitchen Nightmares as of this Friday night. A rerun of the Gordon Ramsay series will lead into the one-hour series finale of Raising Hope at 9pm. Season six of Nightmares kicks off on April 11th.
Back-to-back episodes of Rake will air on Saturday, April 5th, starting at 8pm. That will leave one episode unaired — the sixth installment produced, titled “Mammophile.” No word on when or if that will see the light of day.
One thing is clear however. Despite the fact that FOX hasn’t cancelled it yet, there’s no way that Rake will be returning for a second season.

I love Rake and all the characters. Get rid of reality tv and keep Rake on. I hate reality tv. It’s one of the best show on television and needs to stay on.
The show is filled with intelligent humor an outstanding casts and standing Acting cast. I love the show I love the writing enjoy the characters and the storyline is not predictable. It is a well thought out directed TV series. Why a good TV series canceled like the one “Golden Boy”? Keep the series on the air there are others you can cancel!
Please, please don’t cancel this show. Amidst all the reality shows (done to death) Rake is like a breath of fresh air. What’s not to love in Kee. Greg Kinear is awesome. We look forward to this show every week and have missed watching it.

What is wrong with people? This show is so damn awesome!!!!!We can not wait to watch it every week. It is so darn good. Why do the stupid reality shows always survive, and the ones that make u laugh and have a great plot die?? I just don’t get it??? DO NOT cancel this show!!

I love the show, it’s an adult themed venue that we need more of, and the character Rake is kind of endearing, you want him to succeed despite all the self destruction, he is kind at the heart of it.
Don’t choose poorly and cancel Rake! It’s a well-acted, well-written show that makes you think and keeps me laughing and all with a brilliant cast
Please bring me my show back!! I’ve looked forward to this show every single week and it just brings me joy. Don’t do this to me, come back for a second season…. even a third, fourth, fifth, so on and so forth. I love the Rake cast!!
