A teen drama, this TV show is based on the young adult novel by Blake Nelson.
The series focuses on Maddie Graham (Jessica Sula), a teenage girl dealing with addiction. Maddie has a reputation as a party girl who doesn’t think she has a problem — until she’s confronted one day by her school guidance counselor, Cynthia Molina (Alexis Carra). Maddie’s then forced to choose between expulsion and going to rehab for 90 days.
With help from her mother Charlotte (Sharon Leal), Maddie makes the difficult decision to live with other recovering addicts at a sober living facility while facing the daily pressures of her teenage life at school.
Those she lives with include: mysterious bad boy Wes Stewart (Sebastian de Souza); Vern Testaverde (Daniel Franzese), a former go-go boy who gained a lot of weight when he got off cocaine; Maddie’s manic roommate, single mother Trish Tomlinson (Kyla Pratt); and counsellor Craig Weiner.
Episode #10 — (Be)Coming Clean
Maddie completes 30 days at Springtime Meadows, but she’s preoccupied with uncovering the reason someone else left the house. Maddie is hit with painful revelations about Charlotte and Nyla, leaving her world in a tailspin, made even worse by a devastating discovery. Wes tries to fix the sins of his brother, but ends up making a terrible situation worse. Cynthia is distraught after a recent confession does not have its intended effect, and leads to major life changes. Maddie and Wes come clean about their feelings for each other. And in a shocking development, someone suffers a relapse in their fight against addiction. Flashbacks highlight Cynthia’s decision to start a new sober life in California.

This show has meaning. I hope the network will do the right thing and let it grow.
Very special show for individuals ( young and not so young ) and families.
Freeform needs to brand itself as putting solid shows on the air. This is one of them.
I love this show!! It’s full of romance and mystery. It truly depicts the struggles that others undergo in today’s society. Please renew this show for another season it’s amazing
I love this show so much. As a recovering alcoholic, I can relate so much to Maddie and the other characters. The situations parallel what I and my friends go through, and I like that it reflects fairly realistically on how sober living houses and the AA program work. I have my friends and sponsees watching this amazing show. Keep them coming, please!
Recover road is a great show! I want to see it come back for many more seasons… All the characters are so interestingly complex, intelligent & funny! I vote YES! Please renew Recocery Road
I am a recovering addict and I really enjoyed watching this show. However, if it is renewed I really hope they do a bit more research into how things work in recovery. I take it with a grain of salt because I like the show but as it is geared toward a younger audience who can benefit from a bit of the reality of recovery it would be helpful to depict recovery in a more realistic light. Someone with Maddie and even Wes’s amount of recovery would not be going out on a 12 step call with the director of… Read more »

I love this show and I hope it gets renewed. It’s a great show about the challenges if recovering from addiction, and how relationships play a key role in maintaining sobriety. It’s a wonderful show! I hope the network gives it time to build more if a fan base.
This show definitely needs a second season it is amazingly written I work in a high school and I’ve been telling my students they need to watch this show hope it gets a second season
An amazing tv show! It shows that addictions can touch anyone, every decision you make has consequences. It’s real, it’s more than a teen drama or “love story” between 2 young people living in the sober house. The flashbacks are great to get to know more about the characters, their addictions, how they got to that sober living house… That show is different, so please renew it!
I love that my 13 year olds can watch this important show, enjoy it and learn about what will be facing them in high school. Renew!
Recovery Road is a great tv show for all ages! I’m 31 and I love it! I was hooked right away, it reminds me of Higher Ground. I like the drama, the funny lines, the flashbacks to get to know the characters and their past, their issues, how they learn to cope together… I’ve watched the 3 available episodes right away and wish I had episode 4 already! I’m addicted, I love that show! I hope they don’t cancel it!!!
