EastEnders‘ Adam Croasdell has been cast as Bothwell in the fourth season of The CW‘s Reign TV series. Once Upon a Time fans may recognize Croasdell as Brennan Jones, Killian/Hook’s (Colin O’Donoghue) ne’er-do-well father. The historical James Hepburn, fourth Earl of Bothwell was the third husband of Mary Queen of Scots (Adelaide Kane).
Per Deadline Croasdell has been secured for three episodes, with an option for a series regular role. The report describes Reign‘s Bothwell as “…a warm hearted bad-boy (‘Rhett’ to her ‘Scarlett’) who is deeply loyal, and ultimately deeply in love with Mary Queen of Scots.”
