The 10-episode first season of the Roadies TV show premiered on Showtime, June 26, 2016. Executive producer Winnie Holzman talks about the possibilities a second season of Roadies might bring. Holzman previously worked on TV series including Huge, which was cancelled after one season on ABC Family (now Freeform), Once and Again, which was cancelled after one season on ABC, and My So-Called Life which was also cancelled after one season on the Alphabet Network.
A musical comedy drama series from Cameron Crowe, the Roadies TV series has yet to be renewed for season two. The cast includes: Luke Wilson, Carla Gugino, Imogen Poots, Rafe Spall, Keisha Castle-Hughes, Peter Cambor, Colson Baker, and Ron White.

Are you thinking ahead to future seasons? Would this group of people stay with this band for multiple tours?
HOLZMAN: I think that will be up to Cameron and the conversations we have with Showtime, but we feel very elastic about it. We feel like we could stay with this band and continue. You could have it that a lot of these roadies end up on another tour. You could have it that they end up in another tour. I think it would be fun to mix it up. I can picture playing it out so many different ways, and I think that’s part of the fun of this show. You could keep this core group of roadies together, but you could have various things happen.
Here is more on the first season of the Roadies TV series, from Showtime:
The series gives an insider’s look at the reckless, romantic, funny and often poignant lives of a committed group of roadies who live for music and the de facto family they’ve formed along the way. ROADIES chronicles the rock world through the eyes of music’s unsung heroes and pays homage to the backstage workers who put the show on the road while touring for the successful arena-level group, The Staton-House Band.
What do you think? Have you been watching the first season of Roadies? How would you like a second season to play out? Should Roadies be cancelled or renewed? Tell us.
Oh we love this show!!! Really hoping for another season!!!
Love the show and I deserted regular TV programming years ago–it is so well done — I certainly hope it is given a second season to build on the first one.
Please renew!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes please renew! My husband and I love this show! The cast is great and Camron Crowe is so talented.
Please renew
This is the best show on TV. I love the rock-and-roll history that is discussed. The cast is memorable, but will miss Phil there is another season. Bring Roadies back next year please!
Yes, Roadies is the best new Canle story on Showtime. It is fun, interesting, character driven and non violent. Music is great. Keep this shoe
please renew
Weird that the reviews were not great, yet everyone on this pages loves the show! When I read a review of the last episode that said “series finale” I was really bummed, then thought hopefully they meant “season finale.” In season 2 would love to see for guest stars Tom Petty, Stevie Nicks, Bon Jovi and Richie, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmidt, Sammy Hagar, Jimmy Buffett, Clapton, Kevin Cronin, Neil Diamond, Steven Stills—
That the finale paid homage to Warren Zevon and Lowell George brought tears to these 68-year-old eyes. Thanks, Cameron, for a great, great life-affirming series.
Please cancel the walking dead and bring back roadies!!!!!! For fack sakes
AMEN! I have no idea what ANYONE sees in the Walking Dead!
Beautiful show!! Please renew!!
Beautiful show!! Please, please renew!!
I loved this show!!!!I’m 58 and it brought back so many memories of my life’s journey and how such tiny moments can have profound impact on your entire life. The music was a perfect blend of the old and the new. I think it was genius. I’ve never recovered from the loss of My So Life.
RENEW! RENEW! RENEW! I totally enjoyed the series! Love it!!!
A pretty good show. Like the mix of music and characters. It is good to see a range of talent with both actors and musicians. I would definitely watch a Season 2. I hope they do not cut and bail since it took a season to get the characters developed.
