The 10-episode first season of the Roadies TV show premiered on Showtime, June 26, 2016. Executive producer Winnie Holzman talks about the possibilities a second season of Roadies might bring. Holzman previously worked on TV series including Huge, which was cancelled after one season on ABC Family (now Freeform), Once and Again, which was cancelled after one season on ABC, and My So-Called Life which was also cancelled after one season on the Alphabet Network.
A musical comedy drama series from Cameron Crowe, the Roadies TV series has yet to be renewed for season two. The cast includes: Luke Wilson, Carla Gugino, Imogen Poots, Rafe Spall, Keisha Castle-Hughes, Peter Cambor, Colson Baker, and Ron White.

Are you thinking ahead to future seasons? Would this group of people stay with this band for multiple tours?
HOLZMAN: I think that will be up to Cameron and the conversations we have with Showtime, but we feel very elastic about it. We feel like we could stay with this band and continue. You could have it that a lot of these roadies end up on another tour. You could have it that they end up in another tour. I think it would be fun to mix it up. I can picture playing it out so many different ways, and I think that’s part of the fun of this show. You could keep this core group of roadies together, but you could have various things happen.
Here is more on the first season of the Roadies TV series, from Showtime:
The series gives an insider’s look at the reckless, romantic, funny and often poignant lives of a committed group of roadies who live for music and the de facto family they’ve formed along the way. ROADIES chronicles the rock world through the eyes of music’s unsung heroes and pays homage to the backstage workers who put the show on the road while touring for the successful arena-level group, The Staton-House Band.

I so loved this show and the unique way that established and new artists were showcased. The writing was smart, witty and inspiring. I thought the most powerful and meaningful episode was how Phil met Lynrd Skynyrd. It actually made me cry. Please bring it back.
I need more roadies!
This is one of my most favorite shows, series- ever! Something so real, authentic and endearing is experienced for me – soulfulness (even if stupid critics say it lacks roadie life accuracy).
The character-development and evolution of each character in this series is so needed in the climate of dead-action-drama-violence series. I think.
The cast is wonderful and amazing. The energy is synergistic ❤️.
Having the Roadies as a group – experiencing this band or another will be just as powerful.
Ty for letting me share.
So many memories made in such a short time! ROADIES has filled a void on Sunday nights that has bridged a generation gap as we shared these memories each week with our daughters and grandsons especially reliving and sharing our own stories from the days of vinyl to our new favorite XM stations! Please find a way to bring the show back!
Please please PLEASE ANOTHER SEASON LOVE THE CAST… Don’t care if you mix it up or stay the same… WELL DONE ROADIES Take 2!!!
RENEW!!!! WE NEEW THE NEXT TOUR! Please please please!!! Give us another go-round! They can’t leave it like this! I loved Roadies, from the top of my religiously watched Sunday night shows, this is #1. You rate right up there with Shameless, Nurse Jackie, The Walking Dead. None of us thought they could come back, but they did, and I will forever remember them.
Phil would call you gutless pu*****ies if you left it like it is (in character, of course, you know you would write it).
Thank you. Please don’t delete me!
Yes renew the show! Good characters, music and entertaining! C’mon, keep it going!
Roadies is outstanding. The cast is excellent. The story is moving and funny.
The British consultant, knowing the band can make money, will negotiate with Preston or the band (with or without Chris) to get their contract and manage them. There will have to be a new character or two, but the core characters will go to Europe and complications will ensue. And I will watch, faithfully.
Roadies should DEFINATELY be renewed. It’s fantastic, the cast is excellent. The story is moving and funny.
Roadies should DEFINATELY be renewed. It’s fantastic. The story and the cast are outstanding. It is very emotional and moving.
I loved Roadies and would be so disappointed if it was over in one season. I loved every character except the stuck up photographer that was on one episode.
Renew it! Different from anything else out there. I’m hooked!
Renew, PLEASE!!!
We love this show!! Totally bummed about Phil. Please, please, please!!! Give us another season!!!!
