Rookie Blue was cancelled earlier this month so there will not be a seventh season on ABC next summer. For some fans, this was not a huge shock. The end of season six wrapped up a lot of the storylines on the show.
Missy Peregrym, one of the show’s stars, went to her own blog to talk about the series ending and to share her thoughts with her fans.
“You know what made Rookie Blue different? That each person was so unique, and we cared enough to fight for the best in each other. The connection you saw on screen began off camera. Many days I didn’t feel that I had what it took. Guess who got me through? My teammates that became much more than that. They challenged me, all of them, through different ways because of their strengths and weaknesses. Let me tell you something, the best gift I have ever been given, is that of a real person.
Is it easy? No, sometimes it was excruciating to be sitting across someone I didn’t understand, or agree with. Sometimes I didn’t have the tools to deal with what we presented each other, and that can be humiliating. But we chose to be family. And family can only be close with authenticity.”

Wow. This sucks! I didn’t even know it was cancelled! !! Makes me mad when they do this after I’ve been watching since the beginning!!!!

It was one of our favorite summer shows, if we couldn’t watch it we DVR’d it! Never missed an episode, me or my husband we loved it!! Please someone pick it up

I am disappointed that you cancelled the show. It was one of the best cop shows on.
My husband and I are really disappointed that the show was cancelled as we have watched it from the beginning. We got to know all of the characters and loved each one of them especially Andy and Sam. I am so happy they got married as I thought they belonged together from the beginning.
Guess I’m not surprised but still so sad. I loved these characters. Doesn’t get the same love that Grey’s or other nighttime soaps do but much more fun to watch! Sad to see my favorite cops retire.

Best written show of all police related series…challenging to keep all the personalities true to their nature but Rookie Blue nailed it…miss it very much.

From Cape Town South Africa i am so upset Rookie Blue is done… was one of my all time favourite shows, mainly due to the brilliant cast. I hope they all have an easy time finding something great to do next. And a movie or two would be awesome!!
I am sad to learn that Rookie Blue has been cancelled. I looked forward to it every season and for a moment in time being a part of their lives. I have great affection for the police department (and other emergency and public servants) as I chaired a citizens committee for the Palm Springs Police Department that helped raise money for non-budgeted items. The group grew out of The Citizens Police Academy, which still functions to this day. Please rethink the cancellation and perhaps take the story line in another direction. I guess I will be turning off the tv now that my favourite show Rookie Blue is cancelled. I am of the senior group and not many shows are for me. I don’t like the false comedy or monster shows. Law and Order was also a fav or mine . The real life situations like on R B I really enjoyed. I also like the fact that It was done in To and I recognized the street names etc. I guess I’ll have to buy the bideos and watch them over and over. The cast were so real and varied… Read more »
I’m glad it’s cancelled. The whole series was really great and the finale was a crowd-pleaser. If they continued on another season, it could’ve ruined the high that season six went out on. Sam and Andy’s relationship was wrapped up perfectly.
There is so much more to tell, not everything was wrapped up bring rookie blue backkkkkk

Why cancel a great canadian tv show?.
Why not continue setting a precedent of what canadian tv can be and has become?.
If the show can not continue, how about a tv movie or 2 or 3 even.
