What can fans expect from The CW’s upcoming Sabrina the Teenage Witch series. Recently, Melissa Joan Hart spoke with The Huffington Post about the TV show reboot.
As we reported earlier, The CW is developing a Sabrina the Teenage Witch series as a companion to the Archie Comics drama Riverdale. The new series is based on the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina comics and will explore the “occult origins” of the teenage witch.
Speaking to HuffPost, Hart revealed she won’t be involved in The CW‘s new Sabrina series:
They’re doing ‘Sabrina’ without us. They’re doing like a teen soapy version, like a drama version. Ours was obviously a comedy. It was like a light comedy about magic. There is going to be more witchcraft [in the new one] … [More like] ‘Charmed’ or ‘Buffy,’ maybe.”
What do you think? Are you a fan of the original Sabrina the Teenage Witch series? Will you watch the CW’s new series?
