There’s another reboot on the horizon. Deadline reports Paramount has secured the film rights for a new adaptation of The Saint.
Originally a book series by Leslie Charteris, the story follows “Simon Templar, a smart, quick-witted man who went after the scourges of the Earth — corrupt politicians, war profiteers, drug runners — to benefit his country and the greater good.”
The books were adapted into a long-running British TV series that featured Roger Moore as Templar. The show ran on ITV between 1962 and 1969, proving popular in the United States and several other countries.
Paramount hopes to adapt The Saint into another action film franchise.
What do you think? Have you seen or read The Saint? Would you watch a film adaptation?
