2016 has been a tough year for many and especially so for Salem fans. Earlier this month, WGN America announced the series has been cancelled after three seasons. What we want to know is: Would you watch a fourth season of the supernatural drama?
Set in the late 17th century, the show centers on the people and events surrounding the infamous Salem witch trials. The cast includes Janet Montgomery, Shane West, Seth Gabel, Ashley Madekwe, Tamzin Merchant, Elise Eberle, Iddo Goldberg, and Joe Doyle.
Salem is WGN America longest-running original drama series. It debuted in April 2014 to a 0.51 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.52 million viewers. The numbers fell quite a bit as the season progressed and were even lower in season two.
The ratings in season three have taken an even bigger tumble in season three, which likely led to the show’s cancellation. So far, season three of Salem has averaged a 18-49 demo rating of 0.08 and 265,000 viewers total.
Despite the low numbers, the show does have a core group of fans that may not be ready to let it go.

Yes, I would watch a 4th season! I buy the season because I work night… do they count that? Most us have other ways to catch up on our favorite tv shows. Ratings statistics should be reassessed!!!
I also buy SALEM, because I’m PERMANENTLY DISABLED and can’t afford to pay for Cable. Therefore, I bought SEASON 3 FROM GOOGLE PLAY STORE APP.
Please bring back salem wgn I love this show and watch it every week. This is one of my top 3 shows I watch every week! Bring back salem!
I love this show & I am in the targeted *demographic* who’s viewing matters most in ratings. Please don’t cancel this series, as Mr. West who is extremely talented & is great to watch too.
Love the show. It would be a big mistake to cancel it. Many people watch. You need to advertise the show more. Many of my friends didn’t know it was moved to WGN America and so they missed many episodes this season.

Why cancel this unique, non ridiculous sitcom show?! We look forward to watching all week. It’s just so hard to believe the ratings are as bad as the network says. Everyone i talk to are just as surprised about low ratings. WGN better hope their only other show, Outsiders, picks up. Its the only thing left to keep them relavent and on viewers grid. We tried getting into it but, its slow, cryptic and convoluted story lines and hardly any back story about who the Farrell clan are and their obvious mystical background and connection to Shay mountain make watching… Read more »
I never even knew about SALEM, until I started watching it on NETFLIX !!! Know, I’m ADDICTED TO SALEM. Netflix had SEASON’S 1+2, then I found SEASON 3 on the GOOGLE PLAY STORE APP., but I PAID TO WATCH SALEM SEASON 3.
I would definitely PAY FOR SEASON 4, TO WATCH OR DOWNLOAD SALEM.

terribly upset and disappointed about Salem’s cancellation, especially after only three seasons. WGN wasn’t on my radar at all until it came along other than catching an occasional old sit-com rerun. I’m not sure exactly what they expected for their first series but I was quite pleased until I found out it was being spontaneously canceled. This is a perfect example why people want to wait until they can bing watch series on Netflix nowadays. My husband and I never miss this show. Please don’t cancel it. It’s one of the best shows out there. I hope we get to continue watching it with a season 4!!!!

This show is amazing and would do as good as it even better than the walking dead and I’m a huge huge fan and have been watching since day 1 both shows. Dropping this show is one of the craziest things because it has tons of potential to be a leading series the actors are amazing and the plot truly keeps you on the edge of your seat. Not one bad episode yet to date! It’s not advertised enough as anyone who loves walking dead would get caught up in this as well! Hope another network picks this up!
It’s a great show! The acting, story lines and special effects are really top notch. I was surprised they would cancel it. They cancel great shows and leave crap on the air, like: The Bachelor, Grey’s Anatomy etc. I would watch a 4th season for sure!
