Although Big Brother rules the roost three times a week, CBS can’t run reality programming every night during the summer. Despite low ratings for a Tiffany Network TV series, James Patterson’s drama Zoo is currently in its third season. Now they’ve launched the Salvation TV show. Can it live up to its name? Will Salvation be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned.
A CBS suspense drama, Salvation, stars Santiago Cabrera, Jennifer Finnigan, Charlie Rowe, Jacqueline Byers, Rachel Drance, Shazi Raja, and Ian Anthony Dale. The thriller follows MIT graduate student Liam Cole (Rowe) and tech genius Darius Tanz (Cabrera). Because they don’t want to cause public panic, the two present Pentagon Press Secretary, Grace Barrows (Finnigan), with evidence that in six months, a huge asteroid will crash into the Earth.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
9/21 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Salvation TV series? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a second season on CBS?
10/18/17 update: CBS has renewed Salvation for a second season of 13 episodes. Details here.
Renew! This is a great drama/sci-fi series. Please do not leave us with dumbed down sitcoms and reality shows. Some of us want to think, anticipate, and enjoy the journey.
Renew, I love this show! It is good escape entertainment, it doesn’t have to be totally factual. I love Santiago, this SHOULD BE RENEWED. It is the first show I watch on my DVR.
Salvation is an exciting series and we hope it continued into another season.
The writing was just silly in the middle of the series. For example, Grace simply showing up at a nuclear waste site and putting 200 kilos of spent uranium in the back of a pickup truck because she has a code. DOD police running around enforcing civilian laws. That aside, the show actually got stronger during the last few episodes. Perhaps the producers and writers should create a tie up the loose ends episode, so we are not left hanging on whether the world ends.
Salvation awesome show in every aspect Love Santiago Cabrera Wonderful as Darius Salvation deserves and should have second season for all the fans who have been loyal viewers Not a reality TV fan It’s great to have a quality program to watch It’s the best
Please renew it! I don’t want to go without seeing Season 2! Great cast!!!
I’m doomed to a slew of thumbs down, but given its 4th place finish in the 9:00 slot (including finishing behind a repeat), the show likely won’t be around a year from now. Hope they tie up the loose ends. TV is a business and the higher the ratings, the more money they make and this likely isn’t raking in the money.
Santiago Cabrera is all that and the chemistry between him and Jennifer Finnegan is off the charts. Love the action, intrique and romance!! This show has it all.
Great show— worth tuning in every week for. I look forward to seeing each new show. Please continue it.
I loved the show just watched the hole season in 2 days didnt no about it untill i seen it on prime must watch lets here it for a second season it was just getting really good then it was over more please
Very entertaining and suspenseful. I will be very bummed if it’s not renewed. Without a 2nd season, the loyal viewers who have committed to this show will be left hanging, yet again, by the network. It happens way too often. I guess I’ll quit watching network TV altogether…
My wife and I really enjoy the series and watch it each week.
Keep it going. Well acted, exciting story that gets better each week. Cleverly conceived. Worth building an audience for. We’ve enjoyed every episode.
My husband and I like Salvation a lot really hope there will be a Season 2.
PLEEEEASE RENEW!!!
