In its first season, Scandal drew mediocre ratings and was nearly cancelled. ABC likely brought it back because they need new dramas and are hoping that the ratings would improve in season two. Will they be glad that they took the risk? Time will tell.
The second season of Scandal typically airs Thursday nights at 10pm on the ABC network. The cast includes Kerry Washington, Bellamy Young, Columbus Short, Darby Stanchfield, Guillermo Diaz, Jeff Perry, Joshua Malina, Katie Lowes, and Tony Goldwyn.

I absolutely love Scandal!! I have been watching it since the very first show. why anyone would want to cancel it is beyond me. it’s one of the best shows on tv. it needs more previews from week to week. please do not get rid of this show!!!
My husband and I started watching Scandal last season but now, after seeing the Move On ad, featuring Kerry Washington, lying on behalf of President Obama, we, our many relatives, and friends will not watch any program that she plays in. How ludicrous to state that Romney is against breast cancer screening, especially after his wife Ann had breast cancer. ABC must really be hard up for ratings.
Unfortunately, she did not lie. Mitt Romney does not care for Women’s Rights. It is not ludicrous if it is the truth. If that stops you from watching people on TV for their political views in real life then you should not watch anyone on TV . Heck I don’t like Clint Eastwood for the RNC but that does not mean I will not watch his movies. I know how to separate the two.
I absolutely love the show “Scandal! ” So ratings are down and I can’t understand that. Whose points of view are represented in the Nielson ratings. I used to love “Grey’s Anatomy”, but I must tell you this season I looked forward to “Scandal”. The season premiere was so much better than “Grey’s Anatomy” in my opinion. I would hate to see it taken off the air. Why are previews for “Scandal” imbedded with those for “Grey’s Anatomy”? What is the rationale for this? Isn’t that a problem if you want the rating to improve? I’m just saying.

I LOVE Scandal. I seen one episode on HULU last week and have been hooked ever since. Love Kerry Washington and Columbus Short. Would hate to see it cancelled after I just found it.
We ( my husband and I ) LOVE THIS SHOW!!!! We said the same thing as one of your earlier post. Up until this year, we only bought one other TV show series in our life and that was ” The Cosby Show” . Scandal season 1 was money well spent!!!! We could not wait for season 2 to start. We love Kerry Washington and the cast ( Mr. C. Short we love you too!! )
I think season 2 is better than season 1 and i loved the first season. Don’t know why the ratings has dropped because i can’t wait until it comes on each week. The characters all are matched perfectly and i love the twists and turns.
This show is one of the best on tv now – the premier this year covering last year’s cliffhanger was better than any of the other cliffhanger shows from last year. I also believe abc should advertise this show more . They seem to spend more time and money on other shows. We need a full season of this show – it is very addictive!
This is one of the best shows I have seen in a long time. All of the characters are so flawed and complex. I now look forward to Thursday nights.
I love certain TV shows for 2 reasons: 1) those that make you laugh like Big Bang and 2) those that make me think. SCANDAL definitely makes me think and I LOVE it and have been watching it since day 1. I love love love this show…I don’t really watch network tv but I was browsing Netflix and saw Kerry Washington (whom i love) plugged in and was hooked. I do not see any advertising for this show. I thought no one knew about it until I opened up my dusty Facebook acct. and saw EVERYONE was following the story line. ABC, you brought it back for a reason, now commit and go full throttle…you won’t regret it!
I love this show and I am really disappointed more people aren’t watching but I also don’t feel like I’m seeing enough promos from the network. Seems like the cast is doing the publicity itself via twitter.

I love the sjow scandal and I hope it stays on air for many years to come.I work second shift and can’t be at home to watch because it comes on so late. I was able to watch it on netflix and became addicted to it.I watch the first season in two days.
I think scandal is one of the most intelligent and fascinating show. It actually keeps my attention and makes for interesting discussions among my friends. ABC needs to advertise the show like they do revenge and some of the other show. If I wasnt such a fan and actually affirmatively went online to get info on the show I would not know when the show new season began.
