Who would have thought that a show about a foursome of meddling kids and their hound would have lasted so long? After all, it was first conceived as a rip off of The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis!
Debuting in Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! some 41 years ago, the characters have become a mainstay of pop culture. They’ve starred in four live-action movies, dozens of TV and direct-to-video features, and 10 animated series. Now, they’re coming back for more.
Here’s the official press release from Cartoon Network.
The Scooby Gang is Back with More Spooky Mysteries to Solve
Scooby-Doo is back in Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated Monday, July 12, at 7 p.m. (ET, PT)Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy and their talking dog Scooby-Doo are back, solving mysteries in the spooky town of Crystal Cove in the animated Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated premiering Monday, July 12 at 7 p.m. (ET, PT). Crystal Cove is a sleepy coastal village that boasts a long history of ghostly sightings, werewolves and glowing deep sea divers. Because of all the mystery, Crystal Cove has become a tourist hotspot, taking in major profits and the townspeople don’t appreciate the meddling of the renowned sleuthing team.
In Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated, the curious gang investigates every circumstance with a questioning mindset. Ghosts and monsters may exist, but extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof and the gang will stop at nothing to learn the truth of Crystal Cove. Plus, the drama won’t be limited to paranormal activities — the gang will be portrayed as real teens with real problems, dealing with situations that arise in their families and personal relationships within the group.
From Warner Bros. Animation, Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated features the voices of Frank Welker (What’s New, Scooby-Doo?) as Fred/Scooby-Doo, Mindy Cohn (The Facts of Life) as Velma, Grey DeLisle (Batman: The Brave and the Bold) as Daphne and Matthew Lillard (the Scooby-Doo films) as Shaggy. Sam Register (Teen Titans, Ben 10, Batman: The Brave and the Bold) is the executive producer. Spike Brandt and Tony Cervone (both Duck Dodgers, Back at the Barnyard, Space Jam) are the supervising producers.

i actualy like the new sieres true it is different from the origional but at the same time it has taken the neccesary bounds to update it if the show was exactly the same as the original well would you want that i mean it was great then but now….well somthings dont get better with age and this only the first season who knows CN might decide to steer them down a more familiar route i do agrea that velma is kind of a jerk and fred is somewhat lacking in the mental department but at the same time i… Read more »
Anyone that comes on here and said that the new scooby doo series sucks are not real fans. Real fans know that the series and movies has always gone through a lot of different changes. This is something that a true fan has learned to accept. The characters you are seeing now are the same as they always were. The writers just made their particular behaviors more obvious now. One Coolsville was never their original home. Coolsville was establish their home in the series, A Pup Name Scooby. But originally when the gang was home..it was in a bay town.… Read more »
Yeah I love how they refrenced the creeper and made alice may his daughter
wat on earth is wrong with u ppl… theres a reason they call this a reboot of the old scooby doo… if u dont like it then dont respond. just wait they might make a new series after this one and it might b better, might not. just live with it.. i love this new series. it has a storie behind the mystery with mr.e… u got to admit that the story with mr.e is kinda kool… some ppl on here like the show and if u dont then dont watch it. commets like”worse idea ever” is ur oppionion not… Read more »
Worst idea ever. Messing with the original animation. Velma and Shaggy romance? NOO? Disgusting.
Cartoon network is doing goodthings, but How could they take the last ten years doing scooby what’s new and movies right to what they have done with the current show. Its lost charm. Scooby loves everyone. That made the team. Now he talks as a person would and is really poorly behaved. Fred is played like a low IQ clueless person. He should have a brain. Took the gags too far. Velma is pushy, rude and doent solve anything. There is no charm with scooby and shaggy. Change their ages. All need to be order and go places. It just… Read more »
they dont like anything like animes
D< There's to much dang dating and crushing among the characters! What is this ***! ;~; I miss the good old mystery gang, not the puberty stricken one. D=
I love this new Scooby Doo, I’m glad they’ve created a new series, changed the characters slightly, and are continuing with some good old gags. “Don’t forget to chew, dear.” From Shaggy’s Mom. “Or breathe…” Shaggy’s Dad. Excellent. Daphne crushing on Fred, who’s clueless until episode 10… “I think I understand.” He says after watching Daphne pour her heart out in song at a rock concert… excellent. But the one thing I truly hate about the reboot is Velma. She’s an uncaring, pushy, controlling B-word. Okay, Shaggy & Scooby are an unbeatable comedy team, but they’re two-gag characters. Hunger &… Read more »
The new scooby doo is awful!!! 🙁
They’ve ruined everything!!!
I’m sorry scooby but your new show sucks!!!
I hate the new Scooby Doo Incorporated….it looks like a cheap Japanese flick with no dimensions to the characters. Bring back the old characters. Purchased the new Abracadabra Movie and it was bad. I will no longer be purchasing the new Scooby Doo movies ~ they’re sooooo badly done.
Thi really is the best show ever in my opinion. I love it soo soo much! My sister and I watch it all the time, non stop. Does anyone know if they’re gonna make a DVD with the first season on it?
They didn’t finish season 1 and they cancelled it.
hey scooby i’m neftali is sisster tyilor and little brother erick there both fan
I Hate the ne scooby doo it has the facts all wrong,
1. they are supposed to live in coolsville not crystal cove
2. they are supposed to be older than high school kids
3.thet shouldnt look like japanese animae charecters
4.Shaggy and velma shouldnt be dating
5.scooby should say things with a R not speaking normal
6. scooby should speak in short sentances contain short words
…and that is why they call it a “reboot”.
completely agree. ive seen ervy single episode and i feel that they ruined scooby doo. i dont want kids to see that scooby doo and think its cool.
