After seasons of poor ratings and several cast members moving on, ABC has finally put the Scrubs TV show to rest.
Scrubs follows hospital life as seen through the eyes of Dr. J.D. Dorian (Zach Braff). He left Sacred Heart last season but returns occasionally to help teach a new crop of med students. Others in the cast include Donald Faison, John C. McGinley, Ken Jenkins, Sarah Chalke, Eliza Coupe, Kerry Bishe, Michael Mosley, and Dave Franco.
Last May, despite poor ratings, ABC decided to try to squeeze one more year out of the veteran sitcom. The reason? ABC also produces Scrubs and stood to make big money on additional episodes in syndication.
The network kicked off season nine late last year and registered a low 2.0 rating in the 18-49 demo and only 4.5 million viewers. The numbers dropped even further and ABC decided to burn off most of the remaining episodes in January.
In March, ABC aired the final episode of the season. The network’s website promoted it as the “series finale.” We contacted a representative for ABC who told us that it was a mistake but nobody was in any rush to change it.
Now, it appears that ABC has finally cancelled Scrubs after nine seasons on the air. With more than 180 episodes, the sitcom won’t be coming back.

I can’t believe they canceled it! This show was not only funny, but had so many life-lessons that it was truly amazing. I actually feel so sad that it won’t be coming back, I will really miss it.
The last season was a lot worse than the other 8 seasons. It had it’s ups and downs but mainly it was OK…
I have watched all the episodes in 1 month (yes, I do have a lot of spare time) and I will most certainly miss the show.
I’m gutted they cancelled Scrubs, I love the new season and the new characters. Lucy was brilliant, although her character was trying to replaced JD a little to much at first. Cole was hilarious and gorgeous, Drew was funny and seemed to be becoming a younger Dr Cox, but not in a bad-stealing-his-character kind of way. The likes of Denise, Cox and Turk were all great as well, funny and more their own characters now JD isn’t dominating the series. for crying out loud how the hell can you cancel scrubs i mean it the only show on tv that made me laugh untill i almost peed my self JD is amasing and so is turk and Cole and who can not laught about dctr Cox i mean comon make this show come back to life god dammit Q”#¤!¤%

i been watch Scrubs on and off since season 5. Now with in the last week i seen every episode of Scrubs and i have enjoyed every minuet of it, because it touches a lot of aspects on life about becoming doctor and what people go through to become on. It also show life changing events that people go through during that journey, but it don’t only show how much hard work it take and dedication people put into it but how much fun you can have and that is a great learning experience to have, and i believe season… Read more »

please make a season 10 of scrubs there wasnt a clear ending to season 9 and i liked it ive been looking where to watch and finnally found on youtube i wanna see more of this show i really like it and the new characters were cool and as long as we still have some of the old characters reoccuring it will be fine please ABC

I want a season 10. After spending some tears on JD leaving the “main-team” the med school students made me also laugh, and with Turk as sidekick it was amazing.

This is the only show me and my friends truly love. I cannot believe they cancelled it. Honestly, this is very unwise to cancel show on it’s final stage. Just one more season is left! C’mmon guys, bring it back!!!!
