What’s in store for the Sense8 series finale? Recently, star Freema Agyeman spoke with RadioTimes about the end of the Netflix TV show.
As reported earlier, Netflix has greenlit a two-hour Sense8 finale after the show was cancelled shortly after the premiere of its second season in May. The cast includes Alfonso Herrera, Doona Bae, Jamie Clayton, Tina Desai, Tuppence Middleton, Max Riemelt, Miguel Ángel Silvestre, Brian J. Smith, Terrence Mann, Anupam Kher, Naveen Andrews, and Daryl Hannah.
Speaking to RadioTimes, Agyeman said the Sense8 finale probably won’t answer every question but it won’t end on a cliffhanger like season two:
This special – I don’t know if it’s going to serve to answer all the questions, I really don’t know. I do know it probably won’t end on a huge cliffhanger like season two did, because should it not come back that would just… that’s what made everybody kick off I think.”
She also mentioned that the Netflix show was expensive to produce, which likely led to its cancellation:
They shoot in 14 countries, it’s a massively expensive show – at the end of the day it’s showbusiness, this is a business, somebody is counting the bottom line. It’s a business! But I think the fans felt really cheated that it ended on such a huge cliffhanger.
What do you think? Are you a fan of Sense8? What do you hope happens in the series finale special?
