Jennifer Lopez is getting some new company on Shades of Blue. Deadline reports Anna Gunn has been cast in season two of the NBC series.
Set in New York City, the cop drama follows a group of Brooklyn detectives. The cast includes Lopez, Ray Liotta, Warren Kole, Drea de Matteo, and Dayo Okeniyi.
Gunn, who previously starred on Breaking Bad, will play “a City Councilwoman on the rise and primed for a run at the Mayor’s office. She’s the former protégée of Wozniak (Liotta), and she used to be part of Harlee’s (Lopez) dirty crew of cops.”
Production on season two of Shades of Blue just began, with a premiere date expected early next year.

NBC is spending a lot of money on a show that did a lousy 1.17 average for 13 episodes last season. They must have sold it to a bunch of networks overseas.
