TV show description:
The storyline of this scripted series begins in 1908, when an unexplained event occurs deep in the remote Siberian territory of Tunguska. More than 100 years later, 16 reality-show participants descend on Tunguska — unknowing of the land’s mysterious past.
These contestants are from varied walks of life and attempt to battle the elements (and each other) in a quest to survive the harsh winter and claim a large cash prize. What is initially met with unbridled enthusiasm quickly turns to sheer panic as a series of strange events begin to occur.
The contestants soon attribute the occurrences to ruses set up by the producers, even dismissing the death of a fellow player as an accident.
When a contestant is badly injured and no help arrives, the other players meet the chilling realization that the strange occurrences are not part of the show. With their safety threatened, the competitors must band together in an effort to survive.
The show is hosted by Jonathan Buckley (Jonathan Buckley) and the participants are Carolina (Joyce Giraud), a bartender from Colombia; Johnny (Johnny Wactor), a bull rider from Jedburg, South Carolina; Daniel (Daniel Sutton), a computer programmer from Minneapolis; Neeko, a professional rugby player from London; Natalie (Natalie Scheetz), veterinary assistant from Santa Barbara; Sam (Sam Dobbins), an auto mechanic from Brooklyn; and Esther (Esther Anderson), a model from Melbourne.
The remaining contestants are Tommy (Tommy Mountain), a philanthropist from Boston; George (George Dickson), an accountant from Louisville; Anne-Marie (Anne-Marie Mueschke), a graphic artist from New Orleans; Miljan (Miljan Milosevic), a DJ from Podgorica, Montenegro; Irene (Irene Szuchun Yee), a fashion designer from Taiwan; Berglind (Berglind Icey), a photo journalist from Iceland; Harpreet (Harpreet Turka), a graduate student from Washington, DC; Victoria (Victoria Hill), a sales clerk from Winnipeg; and Sabina (Sabina Akhmedova), a soldier from Israel.
Episode #11 — Into the Oven
Reunited and seemingly safe, the contestants begin to put the pieces together — and encounter yet another mind-blowing surprise.
First aired: September 16, 2013.
What do you think? Do you like the Siberia TV series? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Must be a season two love this programe
My daughter loved this show.she wants another season.
Is this show a fake, are they scripted like i have just read on another piece about the show, I have been watching it and thought it a bit far fetched that we don’t have producers talking to us about what is happening.. Did Irene really get her leg impaled or was it just make up and props? I thought it was real but now others are saying it’s fake…
Chris,
It is scripted and not a reality show.
My take on the show is that it is something like the film “Inception”.
Siberia is a scripted show.
The essence of the show is that reality is relative. Impossible things happen in the show, such as time travel. Siberia is a bit like the film Inception. The writers put in several clues to help people who are watching closely know what is going on.
@chris Siberia is scripted show just like normal tv shows/plays, actually it is mockumentary and they made it look like real but it is not real, Inception is good example, another example is Wrong Turn 2 where reality TV show contestants go to woods for their show but are hunted by cannibals, The Condemn and Death Race movies are also similar to Siberia.
I’m watching it on PICK here in the UK, just watched episode six & I’m really enjoying SIBERIA & by judging by previous messages the series has been cancelled with much still unfinished!!!
Why do ALL networks do that…. Cancel a series without “closing” it
At least do a 90 minute special or maybe another network willing to take the reigns!!!!!
This how is on British tv at the moment and it has not yet reached the ending. In reality shows not everything is at it seems ie situations are malipulated and people taking part are not who they say they are. Those taking part in the show were a bit slow in picking this up.What I did not like was the fact that some individuals were either “killed” or had their leg smashed up..did she loose her leg?Let,s hope the show has good insurance !
so sad. why they can’t broadcast at night? or put to internet if don’t want play on TV
Another season would be nice but I would accept just one more episode that does not leave the audience hanging. I was okay with the last episode because I thought there would be another season but now that there is not, there should be a final episode that reveals everything. Please bring it back one last time.
I remember hearing about this show back in the summer of 2013; I’m not a TV fan, but this show for whatever reason, caught my attention. It had a whole lot of drama and suspense, and I really enjoyed it.
Can Netflix bring it back from the dead?
Please bring the show back. Or at least create a ending.
What happened???? Please bring it back
Please, Please, Please renew this show!!! It is one of a very few unique tv series available and far superior to all the stupid “reality” shows out there. This has a suspenseful plot and ominous situations and is very different from all the other tv series on the market now.
bring it back please. liked it alot and was way different than anything out there.
they better bring back Siberia it was the most interesting reality show I’ve ever seen and for a scripted series it looked real (even though it wasn’t) I really hate when producers cancel really good and interesting shows while keeping the ****** shows on tv
Please re new sibera
I asked Santa to bring back Siberia but it looks like I must have been a bad girl because I haven’t heard it’s coming back. I’m very sad.
