Hallmark Channel has announced that their new Martha Williamson TV show called Signed, Sealed, Delivered will premiere on Sunday, April 20th, at 8pm — the same timeslot that Williamson’s Touched By an Angel series once occupied.
The series is a follow-up to the Signed, Sealed, Delivered pilot movie that aired last October. Hallmark has ordered 11 episodes. The show stars Eric Mabius, Kristin Booth, Crystal Lowe and Geoff Gustafson and the first season will feature appearances by television legends Valerie Harper and Dick Van Dyke.

Series Stars Eric Mabius, Kristin Booth, Crystal Lowe and Geoff Gustafson; Special Guest-Stars Include Golden Globe(R) and four-time Emmy(R) winning actress Valerie Harper and five-time Emmy(R) winner and two-time Golden Globe(R) nominee Dick Van Dyke
Hallmark Channel announces the World Premiere of “Signed, Sealed, Delivered,” the network’s highly anticipated new Original Series, debuting Sunday, April 20 (8pm ET/PT, 7C), created and Executive Produced by Martha Williamson, best known as the creative force behind the mega-hit “Touched By An Angel.” The time slot represents Hallmark Channel’s expansion into Sunday evenings and a coming home for Williamson to the same time period once held by “Touched by an Angel.” The series stars Eric Mabius (“Ugly Betty”), Kristin Booth (“The Kennedys”), Crystal Lowe (“Smallville”) and Geoff Gustafson (“Primeval: New World”). Special guest-stars announced to-date include Golden Globe(R) and four-time Emmy(R) winning actress Valerie Harper (“Mary Tyler Moore,” “Rhoda”) and five-time Emmy(R) winner and two-time Golden Globe(R) nominee Dick Van Dyke (“The Dick Van Dyke Show,” “Diagnosis Murder”). Both stars will portray Supervisors in a revolving role that will feature television icons through the run of season one.
Hallmark Channel’s new original series is a wonderful combination of romance, comedy and drama that follows the lives of four postal detectives who transform themselves into an untraditional team of detectives to track down intended recipients of undeliverable mail. Their missions take them out of the office and into an unpredictable world where redirected letters and packages can save lives, solve crimes, reunite old loves and change futures by arriving late but somehow always on time. The team includes charming Oliver O’Toole (Mabius), a genius postal detective and the group’s leader; new team member, Shane McInerney (Booth), a technophile who brings 21st century sensibility to the group; free-spirited, “girl next door” Rita Haywith (Lowe) who has a photographic memory; and lovable Norman Dorman (Gustafson), a master in conventional research methods.
“Signed, Sealed, Delivered” is a Muse Entertainment production in association with MoonWater Productions. Executive Producers are Martha Williamson (“Touched by an Angel”), Joel S. Rice (“Cyberbully”), Michael Prupas (“The Kennedys”) and Scott Smith (“Call Me Fitz”). Harvey Kahn (“The Haunting Hour”) is the producer. Muse Distribution International holds the worldwide distribution rights.

ABOUT MARTHA WILLIAMSON
Martha Williamson made television history when her CBS series “Touched By An Angel” set a new standard for an inspirational family drama when it grew to a weekly audience of 25 million viewers during its initial nine year run. As Executive Producer of the ground-breaking series, she was the visionary who guided the series into previously uncharted territory with her unique brand of storytelling that produced more than strong ratings; it changed lives. She went on to seal her place in history when she became the first woman to solely executive produce two one-hours simultaneously with “Promised Land,” which aired for three years on CBS. She began her career in comedy with the producing teams for Carol Burnett and Joan Rivers and went on to write and produce situation comedies such as “The Facts of Life,” “Family Man” and “Jack’s Place” for all the networks before making the transition to one-hour drama. Her work has been inducted into the Television and Radio Hall of Fame and honored with numerous awards, including the Edward R. Murray Responsibility in Television Award, the Templeton Prize Epiphany Award and nine Emmy(R) nominations.
What do you think? Are you looking forward to watching this series?
What happened to shane, she looks so difference in the 2016 Valentine day episode?
I loved the first season; please, if at all possible, show it on the original Hallmark Channel. I cannot afford to add the Movies-Hallmark to my viewing. It would mean a lot more money for me and I love this series. We need for Christian-based entertainment, whether TV or movies. Please re-consider and add this second season to the original channel. I love it a lot. Helping people, reaching out to our world is what Christ wants from us as his children. Thanks.
A wonderful show full of intregue, excitment, discovery, uniqueness and love.
Pleae do not cancel. I eschew most of what is on TV but this one is a keeper.
This is no place to end the heartwarming stories of the human spirit, and the escapades of an unlikely group of people who strive to go beyond to do their job.
Please bring back that Signed Sealed and Delivered show! We need more of this caliber of show!
I DVRd this show when it started, but I got ill and couldn’t watch all the episodes. Then, when I went back to watch the remaining episodes in the series, there were no more! I’ve read that it was cancelled!!!! Which stunned me, because it was the best series, by far! Why? Where are the other people like me who still believe in old-fashioned values and enjoy the life that America always was? With so many networks, so many channels and so many choices, is it asking too much to have just one lovely, clean, loving, Christian oriented show to… Read more »
