Silicon Valley is pulling the plug. Deadline reports the HBO TV show’s upcoming sixth season will be its last.
The comedy series centers on a group of IT developers who live together in Northern California. The cast includes Thomas Middleditch, Zach Woods, Kumail Nanjiani, Martin Starr, Josh Brener, Amanda Crew, Matt Ross, Suzanne Cryer, and Jimmy O. Yang.
HBO has confirmed season six of Silicon Valley will be the final season and consist of only seven episodes. The season is currently in pre-production and slated to debut later this year.
From showrunners Mike Judge and Alec Berg:
Silicon Valley has been a career and life highlight for us. We’ll miss it desperately, but we’ve always let Pied Piper’s journey guide the way, and Season 6 seems to be the fitting conclusion. We are forever indebted to our incredible cast, crew, and partners at HBO. At a certain point, there’s only so much we can do to make the world a better place.”
What do you think? Do you watch Silicon Valley? How do you want the series to end?
Good, should have been cancelled seasons ago.
I love Silicon Valley. I hope it ends by Richard selling the company.
