Here’s the official renewal:
USA NETWORK ORDERS SECOND SEASON OF ORIGINAL COMEDY “SIRENS”
Series Hails From Executive Producers Denis Leary And Bob Fisher
SIRENS Ranks As Basic Cable’s #1 New Comedy of 2014
NEW YORK – June 11, 2014 – USA Network today announced a 13-episode order for season two of the original, half-hour comedy series SIRENS from Fox Television Studios and executive producers Denis Leary (“Rescue Me”) and Bob Fisher (“Wedding Crashers”). The series, starring Michael Mosley, Kevin Daniels, Kevin Bigley, Jessica McNamee and Josh Segarra, follows a group of Chicago’s best EMTs who are rock stars professionally, but struggle to keep their personal lives in order.
In its first season, SIRENS quickly drew a loyal and consistent audience, earning its place as the top new basic cable comedy series debut of the year among total viewers P2+ averaging 1.62MM and in the key P25-54 demo averaging 870,000. The series renewal comes on the heels of the network’s reality series pick-up of a second season of hit show CHRISLEY KNOWS BEST.
“SIRENS resonated with a broad fan base, and we are excited to grow this new audience further, as season two promises a lot more laughs and irreverent humor,” said USA Network President Chris McCumber. “We’re pleased to continue our partnership with Denis Leary and Bob Fisher, whose unique brand of witty, off-kilter and laugh-out-loud writing is brought to life by the immensely talented cast.”
SIRENS follows the ridiculous and rowdy antics of EMTs Johnny (Mosley), Hank (Daniels) and Bryan (Bigley) and police officers Theresa (McNamee) and Billy (Segarra). Throughout season one, they tackled everything while on The Job; from heart attack victims and gunshot wounds to ambulance chasers and doppelgangers, all in life-threatening situations. Personally, things were equally outlandish, between Johnny’s inability to commit to Theresa (McNamee), Hank’s unsteady relationship with his ex and Brian’s over-eagerness and general naiveté. Season one guest stars included Lenny Clarke, Jean Smart, Loretta Devine, Nora Dunn and John Scurti.
The series is complemented with an immersive digital experience at usanetwork.com, featuring videos of the SIRENS EMTs’ unique personal take on all aspects of life — including different types of “emergencies,” such as work, romance and health.
SIRENS is produced by Fox Television Studios and Apostle, in conjunction with Daybreak Pictures. Leary and Jim Serpico (“Rescue Me”) serve as executive producers for Apostle, along with Fisher. Hal Vogel, David Aukin (“Hyde Park on Hudson”), and David Leach of Daybreak Pictures also executive produce. The series is filmed on location in Chicago.

What do you think? Do you like the Sirens TV show? Do you think that it should have been renewed for a second season?
Love this show. Yes, I need a second season.
Like Joe I watched the first season on Netflix. I think it is great. I am very happy it has been renewed, looking forward to season 2.
I watched the first season on Netflix. I don’t know how I missed this on tv. This show is GREAT! To me, if feels like Scrubs for the new generation. I hope this goes more than 2 seasons. This is getting the top spot in my DVR.
Lol let’s do it again
I think this is one of the smartest and funniest tv shows, Dennis Leary has proven to be still one of the funniest guys around! Love the concept and that it is not a boring drama!
Yeah!!! I ran into Kevin (the white one) at the NOHO 7 in North Hollywood this Summer and told him I love the show and I hope they get picked up for a 2nd season… but who took that promo picture? Kevin looks better in person -bad photo… AND, they definitely better bring Loretta Devine back for this season too – LOVE HER as the crazy Jesus-loving, have-sex-with-her-son’s-boss self! Can’t wait!!!
I love the show, so witty, fast, smart, very rare today on today’s TV sitcom writing. Also love the cast, “cast” so we’ll!!!
So happy to see its been renewed, will tell EVERYONE to watch!!!
Sandy
I love anything Denis Leary does. He is fantastic! Boo for the people who decided to cancel Rescue Me and Necessary Roughness (lead actress was also on Rescue Me). Anyway, the only shows on TV nowadays are stupid, dumb-humor comedy or government propaganda shows. Sirens and The Mindy Project are the only ones I look forward to each week because I require intelligent, sarcastic humor. No one seems to understand what that means. TV is playing to the dumbed down population. Very sad.
I totally agree…Sirens is the best since Rescue Me…miss both of those shows, glad Sirens will be back…but WHEN?
Love, love absolutely love Sirens! Bring it back… All the actors have
Great chemistry together! Sirens is a funny show!
Yes it should come back my family loves that show. Its great to have a drama comedy show. Love it I don’t like modern family but its a break from police shows.
This show is soooooo funny! I love it! Glad to see it’s been renewed!!!!!!
I just do not understand how a show like this gets renewed. There must be more to it than just numbers.
Didn’t see that news coming.
I’m glad that Sirens got renewed that show make me laugh! beside that Jessica McNamee and Kelly O’Sullivan are hot that’s always a plus 😉
Happy! Happy!
