Abbie has officially been replaced. Deadline reports Janina Gavankar has joined the cast of Sleepy Hollow as Ichabod Crane’s new partner.
Crane’s (Tom Mison) former partner, Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie), was killed off at the end of the FOX series’ third season.
In season four, Gavankar will play Diana, “a single mom and former military officer who’s currently a Special Agent for Homeland Security. She’s got a tough, take-charge personality, punctuated by a wry sense of humor. She also has a softer, more caring side which emerges when she’s with her young daughter.”
Season four of Sleepy Hollow is set to premiere next year.

The reason I enjoyed the series was because of Abbie and Icabod’s blossoming friendship/attraction to each other. I know you have to go with what is expected to track well, so I’m sure you wont miss my not continuing to watch. Good Luck

I love the show. I will miss Abbie and thought they would figure out a way to bring her back. I am excited about the upcoming season. It is one of my favorites.
This is the BEGINNING OF THE END for Sleepy Hollow, I bet this upcoming season will be a total bust worst then last season and it will not renewed for season 5. R.I.P Abbie..
