Once again, there’s no reason to worry that South Park will be cancelled anytime soon. Comedy Central recently announced that the animated series has been renewed through season 26. How long can South Park continue? Could it outlast The Simpsons? Stay tuned.
Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s animated Comedy Central TV series, South Park centers on four third grade boys who live in South Park, Colorado. They are Stanley “Stan” Marsh (Parker), Kyle Broflovski (Stone), Kenneth “Kenny” McCormick (Stone), and Eric Cartman (Parker). The voice cast of this long-running series also includes Mona Marshall, April Stewart, Adrien Beard, and Jennifer Howell.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival.
