What’s next for Stranger Things? Recently, star David Harbour spoke with TVLine about the future of the Netflix TV show.
Season two of the supernatural drama will see the residents of Hawkins, Indiana “still reeling from the horrors of the Demogorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived.” The cast includes Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Millie Bobby Brown, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Cara Buono, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Dacre Montgomery, Sadie Sink, Sean Astin, and Paul Reiser.
In the interview, Harbour revealed that there is an end in sight for Stranger Things:
We don’t have an open-ended thing like The Walking Dead. There is an end to all these characters… We’re going to give you something fun and then we’re going to get out before we’ve worn out our welcome. We have a specific story that we’re going to tell.”
He later added that season two, which premieres on Netflix on October 27th, might polarize fans:
In general, I think people will be pretty excited about it, but I do think some people will expect something and not get it. Some people may want the same thing [as Season 1], but we’re not going to give them that. Literally, upon reading the first five minutes of the first script, I realized we opened up the world in an entirely new way. And these characters can go in an entirely new direction and have new arcs.”
What do you think? Are you a fan of Stranger Things? How many seasons do you think the show should last?
Please end this stupid show.
I would like to see five seasons of Stranger Things.
