What do you think? Do you like the Sullivan & Son TV series? Do you think that it should be cancelled or renewed for season two?
This show sucks. I wasn’t expecting it to be Cheers, and Cheers is also pretty unwatchable unless you were alive when the episodes were brand new and it brings out some kind of nostalgia, or something. The jokes on “Sullivan & Son” annoy me more than make me want to laugh, and it tries to be wild/unpredictable but everything is very 1-dimensional in not crossing that “certain line.” I don’t understand how a show can claim to push lines they never push? I mean, their idea of “shocking humor” is an old man making a Viagra joke that he should… Read more »
[…] It’s frequently one of the highest-rated original series on cable on Thursday nights. The first season has drawn more viewers than the cable channel’s other newbie sitcom, Men at […]
Anyone who actually enjoys this dribble is pretty ignorant to enjoy the semi racist and “stereotypical crap this show drones on about. Boring, forced, and it’s only being compared to Cheers because of a character and the setting. Cheers was a million times better so stop comparing **** to something good please. Canned, canceled, dropped! Try again with some class this time!
Love the show I think it should be re newed for another season……
I think this show is great too and def not cheers what so ever. And the comedy is not forced on you….you people wouldnt know funny if it slap you in the face. U prob think Glee is funny and if thats true you need to just pull the trigger.
I haven’t seen this yet but I have heard bad things about this and it gets an ok amount of views so I think it may acutally get renewed.
The show is terrible. The comedy is predictable, forced and not funny at all. It’s like that “are you there chelsea show”. They should put a limit to how many times you can push the laughs button. The asian mother was the worst. The rest of the cast was trying to hard, everything was unnatural PURE GARBAGE. I gave it a 3 episode chance and I just couldn’t bare it. Steve Byrne is the only salvageable actor on this show, but he cant carry this abomination. I dont think it will be cancelled. I GUARANTEE it will.
Steve Byrne is one funny guy. I’ve seen a couple of his stand-ups and he is awesome at embracing his culture and the fact that he’s mixed. I saw some reviews the night that the show premiered, calling it a revamp of Cheers but I think that’s a little unfair. True there are some similarities between the two but Cheers is Cheers. I think it’s a great comedy and it’s a relief to see something else funny on TBS. I love that this show is produced by Vince Vaughn. He obviously knows funny when he sees it and Steve Byrne… Read more »
WOW…if you like it you like it…. and if you hate it …..YOU REALLY HATE it. LOL.. I was just reading the comments…The reviews have been funny…watching tonight.
This show sucks. The comedy is forced upon you, the actors are predictable and one dimensional and the writers and producers are terrible.
Short and simple. Very well said sir.
I love this show!! I knew this sitcom was going to be a hit (Vince you are a true comedian). To those that are comparing it to Cheers…are you kidding me?? Move on people….stop living in the past….have an open mind. I hope this show gets renew or it will be a sad day for me.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Galarza
Crap, crap, crap
This show is juvenile, demeaning, stereotypical, and deserves to be canned immediately. Its nothing at all like Cheers save for being set in a bar.
Show has great potential to go in a number of directions with various story lines. It is very funny and well done. The cast does an excellent job and the show flows well. I also like the way diversity is celebrated. The character development is going extremely well. My vote is yes continue this show, Sullivan and Son will be a top ten show.
Sincerely

Great Show! Finally a comedy for adults thats not all about single people and sex, sex, and
more sex. More about funny individual characters. Great Cast! A bit like Cheers uses to be. Keep up the good work. A BIG YES FOR RENEWAL FOR TBS!!!
