The Swamp People cancellation has been cancelled. When History cancelled Swamp People after its seventh season, the fans went wild and History reconsidered. The Swamp People TV show has been renewed for an eighth season.
Cast member Jacob Landry has announced the renewal on Facebook. Also, an announcement video has been posted to the official Swamp People Twitter account.
Jacob Landry’s Facebook post reads: “Thumbs up to History Channel for renewing Swamp People for another season!!!! That’s right season 8 has been green lighted!!! — with Thomas Trana, Claude Thornhill, Dana Grasley, Pamela Hutchins and Rhonda Hammack Hutson.” Check it out.

I can’t wait for season 8! But they need the old cast back. Watching them from season to season, the ups and downs made it fun you felt like you were part of the family! You couldn’t wait for the next season just to see who was doing what.
Swamp People -The most ‘down to earth’ reality show…like the ‘family side’ of it all too. Was disappointed when it was cancelled..hope it returns.. another reality show I won’t name has become a ‘farce’, like kids play acting and trying too hard to be funny for the cameras… making tons of money off it too, becoming very commercial.. reality shows should be just that..realistic!!
So glad swamp people has be renewed for season 8 love this show. I would like to see the original cast back they make the show. Didn’t care for the new people just wasn’t the same. Again thanks for bringing back a great family Tv show.

Yes, we will be watching season 8. This our favorite reality show, my wife and I are bring fans of the original cast members before season & and would like to see them come back. And please change the narrating back to before season 7. It was much better. Season 7’s narrating was awful.

Yes I will watch season 8. I have watched this show since the beginning. I really want them to bring Liz back. I really missed her last season. They can leave out the new people though. I didn’t like them very much. We are used to the original cast members.
