What’s next for Taboo? Recently, creator Steven Knight spoke with HuffPost UK about the future of the FX TV show.
Set in the early 19th century, the historical drama follows James Keziah Delaney (Tom Hardy), an adventurer who returns to England after spending 10 years in Africa. The cast also includes Oona Chaplin, Jefferson Hall, Jonathan Pryce, Jessie Buckley, Jefferson Hall, Scroobius Pip, Edward Hogg, Leo Bill, Christopher Fairbank, Roger Ashton-Griffiths, Richard Dixon, Jason Watkins, Nicholas Woodeson, and Franka Potente.
In the interview, Knight revealed that he has two more parts planned for Taboo. FX has already renewed the series for a second season:
I can feel the three acts. The first was ‘the escape’. The second will be ‘the journey,’ the third will be ‘the arrival,’ and that’ll be it. I don’t think the story will be what viewers are expecting, but hopefully they’ll enjoy it.”

Tom Hardy’s character is amazing, and I do not use the term “amazing” very often. I could not imagine any other actor portrying the character. I will look forward to the two acts that the creeator describes, really looking forward to it. I especially like the mysterious of the energy and psychic themes that play out as the series rolls out. Also like the slow revieling of the mystic powers that Delaney resorts to when the situation calls for it. My husband and I love Taboo! My husband raved to all his coworkers how amazing and addictive show it is. My mother who is so hard to please when it comes to TV shows we watch together, loves Taboo and yelled at the TV when the season was over. We are die heart Taboo fans! No matter how many times we watch the first season we want more and more! It’s way better the strain and game thrones in our opinions.
I love the series…I hope it continues. Would love to see him in America and how he adjusts to his new surroundings
