All good things must come to an end and no one is likely more sorry to see The Big Bang Theory end than the executives at CBS. Though there were discussions about possibly continuing TV’s top comedy past its 12th season, CBS and Warner Bros. TV announced today that there won’t be a 13th season. The final year of The Big Bang Theory will begin airing September 24th and will conclude in May 2019 with lots of fanfare and big ratings.
Here’s the announcement:

What do you think? Are you a fan of The Big Bang Theory TV show? Are you sorry that there won’t be a 13th season or, do you think the series should end?
I don’t understand if it’s the top rated show. why is it ending? Hmm.
Mainly because Jim Parsons wanted to move on. Kayley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki were fine with it ending. It’s not unprecedented. Seinfeld ended as the #1 rated show on TV back in the day.
With quality writers the show has the ability to continue many more seasons and create spin-offs they could go for many more seasons. The possibilities are Endless! It’s a shame the network doesn’t see the value of continuing and satisfy long lasting fans and new fans that come along each season. Quality comedies of this quality don’t come around that often it’s a shame to stop it with such high ratings. I hope they reconsider the ending of this series or create a new series or two with the cast of characters we’ve all come to enjoy weekly!
I love The Big Bang and I am very upset that because one character wants to leave the entire show is cancelled! What ever happened to just writing him out? I love the girls. I loved Sheldon, but since the news that the show will end because Jim Parsons doesn’t want to play anymore is not fair to the other cast members or a very loyal fan base. Write him off, send him somewhere else and keep Amy. You have 6 other very strong characters why not use them and show Jim Parsons he is not the be all and… Read more »
I thought I would hate The Big Bang Theory. I started watching TBBT at the end of 2013 and love love loved it! I would like to see the series continue to run for as long as it possibly can. It never gets boring and there are endless possibilities for new episode plots.
I unfortunately just started to watch the show at the beginning of 2018. However I love it. I watch all the re runs and I think the cast is great. I am so sorry I never watched it when it first started. Yes I am very sorry it is ending.
I would have liked for the show to have been able to celebrate 300 episodes.
Thank goodness that someone finally realized the need to end a show where the comedy ended 11 years ago.
Upset, sad, in disbelieve that my favourite series is coming to an end.

Would love to see Penny and Leonard and Sheldon and Amy get pregnant and have a baby , also Raj FINALLY meet someone, fall in love and settle down. Spous and I have watched since show began and have had many laughs and tears over certain episodes.
I want more. I don’t want the show to end at all.
Big Bang has declined in quality over the years and I found it not longer to have humor. The problem is while the character’s aged, they still were acting as if they were college kids with the same old gags. There’s so much the writers could’ve done to keep the quality up, but didn’t.
Scuttlebutt says Jim Parsons wanted out and they didn’t want to go out like Happy Days so they decided to cancel it.
Jim Parsons has a new “Young Sheldon” to replace his part. What will the rest of the cast have to fall back on? I will really miss this show. I have been watching since it began. I too would like to see the other couples pregnant and Raz married.
I want more
I am very sorry and do not want the show to end!!!!
I am very sorry to see the show end
