Deadline reports that HBO is in talks with creators/executive producers Michael Partick King and Lisa Kudrow to revive The Comeback.
The series revolves around “washed-up” sitcom star Valerie Cherish (Kudrow) who becomes the subject of a reality show that chronicles her attempts at making a comeback. It debuted in 2005 and ran for just one season of 13 episodes but garnered three Emmy nominations.
The Comeback has seemingly become even more popular since its cancellation and HBO is considering bringing it back as a limited/event series.
What do you think? Would you like to see The Comeback return for a second season?
Excellent show. When I get to my desktop I will write more. So many dimensions to this series. Intelligent and emotionally intelligent. Thank you! I (and myy group of friends who watched with me) vote for putting “The Comeback” back on the air!
It was one of my all-time favorite television series ever!! But I’m a little concerned about a comeback (pun intended) 9 years later. Bringing back Arrested Development ruined the entire show for me – the original was brilliant; the revival horrid. And I’m afraid the same could happen to my beloved Comeback.
