TV show description:
In this mockumentary comedy series, Billy Crystal and Josh Gad play fictionalized versions of themselves.
Billy (Crystal) is a comedy legend who’s reluctantly paired with edgy up-and-coming star Josh (Gad) for a late night sketch comedy show. Egos and generations soon collide on The Billy & Josh Show.
Kristen Laybourne (Stephnie Weir) is their anxiety-ridden producer who frequently finds herself caught in the middle of Billy and Josh’s arguments.
Mitch Reed (Matt Oberg) is the show’s head writer and Esme McCauley (Megan Ferguson) is a no-nonsense production assistant.
Together, the behind-the-scenes crew spend most of their time managing the egos of their two stars and the generational divide that keeps them from ever fully seeing eye-to-eye. Sharon (Dana Delany) is Billy’s well-meaning and understanding wife.
Episode #13 — Partners
On the last day of shooting The Billy & Josh Show, Billy and Josh look to the future.

What do you think? Do you like The Comedians TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I am so sad to see this show cancelled!!! When I saw the ads I thought it would either be horrible or amazing. It took a few episodes, but it just kept getting better. The ending felt like such a cliffhanger and we were so upset to have to wait for what comes next…. now we’ll never know. The father/son relationship between Billy and Josh was great. It was a slow build and it was nice to see their relationship grow. The snippets of the “Billy and Josh Show” were so silly they made my giggle. The neurotic network lady… Read more »
I am extremely disappointed that The Comedians has been cancelled! I loved Billy and Josh together, and thought the show was only going to get better as it went on! I think another season would prove that.
I think u should keep this show great show get rid if some crap u have out there
LOVE this show. Took awhile to warm up to it, but totally love the generosity and authenticity of the characters, their interaction, and the constant amazement of the fine line that melds reality and comedy. Billy, Josh and Stephanie, separately and together, are wonderful as are the entire cast, like the hapless director, the OTW PA, et al. I really like these people and hope they run several seasons.
I love The Comedians. It took a couple of shows to warm up but I am hooked. I love the play between Josh and Billy. There are some genuinely funny exchanges. Stephanie Weir is amazing. She is such an intergrel part to the show. Please, please keep this on. There aren’t many shows on that are funny and warm like this. I like it better than Louis. In fact, I don’t even watch Louis anymore. It’s just not funny.
love it
it is so funny and real
not a stupid sitcom
cancel it, yuk…
Still early but so far a “C”.
Watched the first show. Not bad. This was a show to set up the rest of the story. I know Crystal can be funny, but this wasn’t the time for him, but his stares were kind of funny. The only line that was almost laugh out loud funny was Gad’s when he says the only people who were thrilled about him teaming up with Billy Crystal were his grandparents. HA ! Not bad. But I am not familiar with Gad and hope he shows some comedic ability soon. This show is much like Episodes with Matt LeBlanc in that the… Read more »
I recorded this show and after about 10 minutes, I just shut it down and deleted it and will not record anymore of this series in the future. To me personally, it was not funny. Might have been better if they had actually done it as a normal Comedy Show.
I liked it, but my wife only made it halfway through before she left the room . We’ll see what happens.
Very good show Billy Crystal is great!
We didn’t even consider watching this… Billy Crystal is NOT FUNNY under any circumstances.
