What do you think? Do you like The Divide TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I loved the show and hate that it wasn’t renewed! Why wasn’t it?
The Divide was the best new drama series on TV last season. I have been waiting for the second season to start. I’m very disappointed that the show has been cancelled. The cast was excellent and the writing was really good. I don’t know what WE exec chose to cancel this but I say you royally screwed up!
Im sick and tired of getting real interested in a series, the charactorsn story, anxiously awaiting the next season, and finding out it was cancelled like the devide, and the bridge. Im giving up on tv series.
Great movie and story line. How can they leave us hanging like that . Need Another season. Good Mix of cast, Acting is great .
I really liked the show, and it seems alot of others did too. Look at the Twitter and Facebook comments about the show, most were positive. I think WE tv wants to be like, CBS, ABC, NBC etc and cancel before the shows have a chance.
Was a wonderful show. Wish it would’ve been picked up for another season.
please someone pick up season two of this show…shame on WE for canceling
When people watch shows like real housewives of so and so, it says a lot about TV in general. The divide was well acted and actually made you think. What a mistake to cancel it.
The divide was a great show. Why Was it canceled? We the viewers was left with a cliffhanger? I think the series should return. It Was on one season. I do want to see the next season.
The Divide was a great show! It shouldn’t of been cancelled.I can’t believe they left us hanging from last season..
A great show. I thought it was renewed?. Hopefully Netflix will pick this up.
That’s what I thought, and it sure seemed like that’s what Tony Goldwyn thought. http://tinyurl.com/k5d7rdp Then WE waited months to announce the show was cancelled. Some kind of drama must have occurred behind the scenes.
I waslooking foward to this showreturning!!!!! I though it had a reat story, and awesome cast. What happened???
This is the third show in one year I’ve really loved, and told all my family and friends to watch, that’s been cancelled after only one season- the other two being The Lottery and Benched. Of the three, this cancellation shocks me the most. I honestly can’t imagine a single reason this series was cancelled (after being renewed, no less) other than the fact that it aired on a network its target audience rarely, if ever, watches. If networks want higher ratings (especially networks like WE that aren’t even on the map as far as most people are concerned) they… Read more »
I like the way you think, and you are an excellent writer. I too am shocked that this well-written, thought-provoking, moving, and exciting show was cancelled. It also had wonderful acting, and it was compelling to see so many actors of color getting broad, juicy roles. I don’t know what happens to the comments on this site. Are they forwarded to the network? To the show’s producers? I would love to get a letter-writing campaign started to WE — or to another network that might consider picking up the show — to see if we can get it renewed. It’s… Read more »
If there is a letter writing campaign you can count me in. It is about time they stop showing those trashy realty programs.
Count me in, definitely! The Divide was originally renewed, so I’m assuming production had already started. WE just needs to pass the baton to another network, or even Netflix.
I hope you don’t mind; I took your idea and ran with it:

My husband, a TV and film producer, says, “Concentrate your energies on the studio that made it — AMC Studios (Sundance Network) — and the network that you think would be better for it.” Sara, I’m thrilled you started the change.org petition. Signing immediately!
Awesome! Thanks! 😀
Sara,
That was an excellent idea! I signed and hope it will garner additional signatures.
Me too! Thanks for signing! 😀
Not too many nibbles on the petition so far. My guess is that many, if not most fans don’t even know The Divide has been cancelled yet. WE gave every indication it was renewing the series, so my guess is that the outcry won’t really start until enough people try to find out when Season 2 is airing. I’ve set up a Twitter page in the meantime.
Sara, I put it on my fb page (but I only have like a 100 “friends”), and asked my husband to do the same (he has 1,300 plus “friends”). I think everyone here needs to promote the petition via social media. Please.
You are both correct. The last show/season indicated that it was returning so perhaps people are not aware.
I too am lacking enough friends and followers on both FB and Twitter but will ask family and friends to post the link on their pages.
Where or when did it indicate that series was continuing. I am so curious. l loved the series and was horrified when it went off with that major cliff hanger.
I’ve definitely spotted a pattern here! I only have 23 FB friends and this is the first time I’ve done anything on Twitter. (It seemed like the time to finally try to figure it out.) I’m also looking into other ways to promote it (I told my mom she should screen it for her social justice group at her church). Every single vote counts.
Well said, I couldn’t agree more
Bring it back
I looked so forward to the divide returning. What happened.
