The summer is over and so is The InBetween TV show on NBC. The drama series, which ran from May until August, has been cancelled and won’t be returning for season two next year.
A psychic police procedural, The InBetween stars Harriet Dyer, Paul Blackthorne, Justin Cornwell, Anne-Marie Johnson, Cindy Luna, Chad James Buchanan, Andres Joseph, Michael B. Silver, and Sean Bulger. The paranormal drama centers on Cassie Bedford (Dyer), who is gifted with abilities she often considers a curse. Cassie has unbidden visions of events past and future and is also approached by spirits who need her help in some way. She gets drawn into the cases her foster father, Seattle Police detective Tom Hackett (Blackthorne), works with his new partner, former FBI profiler and LAPD detective Damien Asante (Cornwell).
The first season of The InBetween averaged a 0.40 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.57 million viewers. Of the peacock network’s seven summer series, The InBetween ranked in last place in the demo and nearly last place in viewers (just about Hollywood Game Night).
The show’s 10th and final episode aired on August 14th and left fans with a cliffhanger that seems unlikely to be resolved.
Thanks for everyone who watched #theinbetween no second season but you can stream our 10 episodes on Hulu or the NBC app! Love you guys!

What do you think? Did you like The InBetween TV show on NBC? Would you have watched a second season in 2020?
I loved the show, I would have watched a second season. I’m sorry to see it go.
Bummer! I was looking forward to the next season.
I think this program was canceled prematurely. At first I didn’t watch The InBetween, but once I sat and watched it I was instantly hooked. I watched episode after episode until I was caught up on episodes I had missed, then I couldn’t wait until the next airing. Maybe it was the title or maybe it was the time slot that kept people from watching, but whatever it was it was NOT the content which I thought was full of suspense, exciting, and down right spell binding. Please relook at this program and given The InBetween another chance.
I loved the show as well. It seems the networks just want to give us medical dramas, sitcoms, and cheap contest or reality shows anymore. Never fails that I like something and it doesn’t get picked up for multiple seasons and what I chose not to watch ends up going for many years…but I still don’t watcch it because I missed a whole season!
Im really bummed. I loved this show. It was everything I could’ve hoped for. Ghosts, serial killers, love, mediums and the music was awesome. NBC sucks for canceling this an amazing show!!
I loved this show but it figures it would be cancelled. Most of the shows I like do.
I LOVED this show. Yes, it was similar to Medium, but sooo much better. And Medium has been off for a long time. It’s so frustrating when the network gives some shows 10 measly episodes to determine it’s success. Remember… neither Cheers or Seinfeld were hits right off the bat. Grr!!
Unfortunately, I stopped watching it after the 4th episode. Just couldn’t get into it.
Really NBC??? first it was the village, now The Inbetween??? What kind of garbage shows are you going for in the summer season??? Please don’t dont do reality shows! CBS has enough of that garbage. The in between and the village were quality shows and a nice change.
I totally agree. Loved the village and the in-between.
Yes i would of watched it, i thought it was pretty good
Why do you stations cancel good series and renew ****** ones. I don’t understand. I live this show. This station is stupid.
You know a great show comes along and you cancel it and fill it with trash tv like another stupid reality show . What happened to good tv something you want to watch every week not trash tv.
Yes it was a good show. Disappointed it was cancelled
I enjoyed the show & was hoping for a second season
Yes! It’s a decent show! Will be missed.
