The summer is over and so is The InBetween TV show on NBC. The drama series, which ran from May until August, has been cancelled and won’t be returning for season two next year.
A psychic police procedural, The InBetween stars Harriet Dyer, Paul Blackthorne, Justin Cornwell, Anne-Marie Johnson, Cindy Luna, Chad James Buchanan, Andres Joseph, Michael B. Silver, and Sean Bulger. The paranormal drama centers on Cassie Bedford (Dyer), who is gifted with abilities she often considers a curse. Cassie has unbidden visions of events past and future and is also approached by spirits who need her help in some way. She gets drawn into the cases her foster father, Seattle Police detective Tom Hackett (Blackthorne), works with his new partner, former FBI profiler and LAPD detective Damien Asante (Cornwell).
The first season of The InBetween averaged a 0.40 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.57 million viewers. Of the peacock network’s seven summer series, The InBetween ranked in last place in the demo and nearly last place in viewers (just about Hollywood Game Night).
The show’s 10th and final episode aired on August 14th and left fans with a cliffhanger that seems unlikely to be resolved.

I think The InBetween should be given a second chance as some areas were unable to watch it because of a dispute with DirecTV NBC was not even on the air for half the season. Please think about bringing it back.
I loved this show and I’m disappointed it won’t be back for more seasons. It was a unique show with great acting; a little spooky, a little funny and the characters were actual grown ups. It would be wonderful if it were picked up by Hulu or Netflix. Summer shows really should be given more time time to establish a viewer base.

I truly loved this show. The actors were great. The episodes had decent plots with some twists and turns and surprises. Half way through the season I was forced to find another source of streaming because my provider suddenly stopped carrying the channel it was on. But I did manage to enjoy all of Season 1. Will miss this show!

NOOOOO! We LOVED this show. Any chance a pick up by HULU or Amazon? It was so good and could really do well on a different platform. Plus, of course it ended on a cliffhanger. ugh.

What the hell this was a great show what about the people over 49 I’m 65 and homey most days there are not a lot of really good shows but this was one . I’m going to talk to friends and family about not watching this channel.

I really liked this show. I can’t understand WHY they cancel good shows like this and keep all the stupid ones like Survivor, or talk shows. I love thrillers like this show. NBC really does suck for canceling this great show.
