The summer is over and so is The InBetween TV show on NBC. The drama series, which ran from May until August, has been cancelled and won’t be returning for season two next year.
A psychic police procedural, The InBetween stars Harriet Dyer, Paul Blackthorne, Justin Cornwell, Anne-Marie Johnson, Cindy Luna, Chad James Buchanan, Andres Joseph, Michael B. Silver, and Sean Bulger. The paranormal drama centers on Cassie Bedford (Dyer), who is gifted with abilities she often considers a curse. Cassie has unbidden visions of events past and future and is also approached by spirits who need her help in some way. She gets drawn into the cases her foster father, Seattle Police detective Tom Hackett (Blackthorne), works with his new partner, former FBI profiler and LAPD detective Damien Asante (Cornwell).
The first season of The InBetween averaged a 0.40 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.57 million viewers. Of the peacock network’s seven summer series, The InBetween ranked in last place in the demo and nearly last place in viewers (just about Hollywood Game Night).
The show’s 10th and final episode aired on August 14th and left fans with a cliffhanger that seems unlikely to be resolved.

Yes!! they get you hooked on new shows and then cancel them with cliffhangers, makes you not want to watch new shows!!

Exactly !!!! How many seasons of crap shows like The Bachelor are out there ? And tons of others like it . But a show where you use your brain to watch it and they cancel it without giving it a chance

I love the series The InBetween! No one’s making a lot of the medium or psychic type shows anymore, this series presented itself to be very realistic, Cassie does a good job portraying that, and this one kept me eager to watch the next show! I’m really disappointed that they’re not making a season 2; I’ve been checking and checking and now I just find out there isn’t one! Very sad…

I really loved the show. It was a thriller that got me watching every week. I really missed a Medium type show. I am really hoping that this gets another season. It’s awesome
I absolutely would have watched it. The first season was really good. I think you should reconsider airing a second season even if only just to close everything out because it was left on a cliff hanger.
I would definitely have watched it. Summer isn’t a tv watching time for me. I prefer to dvr and watch later. They should give it another chance. We gotta find out about her mother.
I would have watched it . I really enjoyed this show but now instead we are stuck with shows like Gray’s Anatomy that are way past their prime.
My husband, daughter, her husband and myself love the show and would watch more seasons.

Network TV wonders why they are losing viewers in droves. If you are not certain if an episodic series will fly, make it a limited series and renew if successful. The Inbetween is another well made show that ended with a never to be resolved cliffhanger.
