The offbeat sitcom Knights of Prosperity debuted on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 to poor ratings. ABC kept it running for nine weeks but unfortunately viewership didn’t pick up. When the network pulled the series back in February, they maintained that it would return at some point in the future. That time has come.
ABC has announced that Knights will finally return to primetime on August 8th with episode 10 airing at 8:30pm and episode 11 at 9:30pm. Episode 12 is scheduled to air on August 15th at 8:30pm and the series finale will follow on August 22nd.
The return comes as the “Knights” turn their sights on robbing comedian Ray Romano. Interestingly, when ABC execs were working out the Fall schedule, it was said that the low-rated Knights was being considered for renewal. If that had happened, the four remaining episodes would probably have been shelved until Fall and combined with nine second season episodes. That didn’t happen and the series was cancelled in May. Stay tuned!
this show is frigging GENIUS!! it might come back? that’d be great. if they give it a decent slot this time, instead of being up against American Idol again, it might have a chance. i sure hope so–it’s better than most stuff on tv right now.
