TV show description:
Toby Logan (Craig Olejnik) is a young paramedic who has a secret. He’s also a telepath who’s managed to keep his extraordinary ability hidden. He explores its possibilities only with his long-time mentor and confidant, Dr. Ray Mercer (Colm Feore).
Responding to calls with his paramedic partner, energetic Osman “Oz” Bey (Ennis Esmer), Toby uses his ability to help people in crisis. In the process, he also tries to unravel the truth about his own enigmatic past.
While his professional life is in check, Toby’s personal life could use some rescuing of its own. With the help of Detective Charlie Marks (Lisa Marcos) and his ex-girlfriend, E.R. doctor Olivia Fawcett (Mylène Dinh-Robic), Toby realizes his gift can help others in more ways than he imagined.
Episode #65 — In Our Midst
Secrets from Toby’s (Craig Olejnik) past are finally brought to light. Also Michelle (Lauren Lee Smith), Toby, and Dev (Rainbow Sun Francks) find themselves in the extremely uncomfortable position of investigating their own boss. On clandestine orders from Judge Samuel Griffin (Bruce Gray) and Deputy Commissioner Earl Bamford (Brian Paul) of the IIB, the team must look into Becker’s (Anthony Lemke) dealings with Curtis Maynard (Noam Jenkins), a disgraced former cop with connections to drug dealing.

I think we need as many Canadian shows about Canadians as we can get. I really enjoy the interaction of the characters. We have had to watch so many shows filmed in Canada with mostly Canadian actors but it was portrayed as being set in the States. Please, please bring back the Listener.

Really? This is such a great show, why would you want to cancel it and put something on that nobody will watch. Acting is great, we want Toby to find his mom and bring her in the storyline. Don’t cancel this show
I’m sick of networks canceling tv shows with such good ratings they haven’t found his mother yet or his brother. So much more to explore it would be criminal to cancel it.
Don’t cancel the Listener. I started watching it just last year and I really enjoy the show. I’ve been looking forward to Toby & Tia getting back together. It’s a great show, I’m going to miss it if it is cancelled.

I feel I’m talking to myself. I’ve never connected that way to any series or program. I know I’m a little late with my comments here , but the series came to Israel before 3 weeks and it’s ended too fast !
Hey, it’s me again (Emma) I did not even know want want to cancel the series … When the series was finished i looked for information about the “Listener” . I sent emails to “YES” company (that broadcasting the series in Israel) that I would love to have another season! Besides, I stayed in suspense! Is Toby found his mother? What happens to Charlie after she was shot! You can not leave the fans of the series without another season !
