This dramatic series is a continuation of the story started in the TV movie Lizzie Borden Took an Ax. The show unveils a fictionalized account of actual events and people surrounding Lizzie Borden’s life after her controversial acquittal of the horrific double murder of her father and stepmother in 1892. The exonerated figure lives a life awash in newfound celebrity filled with scandalous love affairs.
However, when numerous people close to Lizzie — ranging from her half-brother William (Andrew Howard) to Broadway luminaries and her business associate/underworld kingpin Mr. Flowers (Jonathan Banks) — start to mysteriously die under brutal and strange circumstances, legendary Pinkerton detective Charlie Siringo (Cole Hauser) becomes determined to prove her involvement in their ultimate demise.
Emma (Clea DuVall) is Lizzy’s sister. Nancy O’Keefe (Jessy Schram) is an alluring and ambitious actress and dancer who befriends Lizzie. William Almy (John Heard) is the business partner of Lizzie’s murdered father, Andrew.
Episode #8 — Capsize
Lizzie races to Boston, where Emma has taken refuge in the luxurious home of Adele Trotwood and family, with whom she has a very special connection. Stunned to find a vastly different Emma than the cherished sister she knew, Lizzie unwittingly leads Bat Masterson and Tom Horn directly into their path. However, the Trotwood family proves to be more than your average Boston Brahmins, posing an unexpected challenge to Bat and Tom. Trying to ease tensions, Emma makes an impetuous sacrifice. Lizzie plumbs the depths of her cunning to set out to ambush the gunslingers, and somehow pull the sister she dearly loves back from the abyss.
First aired: May 24, 2015.

Yep use to have good **** now they suck.
How could the network cancel Lizzie Bordern?? I look forward to the show every week and was patiently anticipating the next season. Christina Ricci brought life to her character.
Unbelievable!!
Please rethink this decision
I really like watching the show and now you want to cancel the show this is unbelievable.
Seriously! This was such a good show! I can’t believe that you have cancelled this. Finally something I look forward to on TV and you cancel it.
no lizzie borden seasocn 2??? lifetime you can’t be serious! you finally have a HIT and you cancel what a boneheaded move ! screw you and your corny shows
Really disappointed that LBC was cancelled. I looked forward to this show every Sunday night. Please bring this back!!
I’m so surprised that you are not bringing back L.B.C. I watched it every week and was looking forward to the next season and now I read this? Please consider bringing this back. Great characters and so intriguing to tune in each week to see what Lizzie’s next move would be. Christina Ricci plays the perfect Lizzie Borden. I’m a huge Lifetime fan, but this disappoints me. PLEASE BRING BACK!!
Come On Lifetime! What are you thinking of by cancelling L.B.C.? This is a great t.v. show and Christina Ricci plays the heck out of Lizzie too. Thank goodness I recorded the t.v. show via Comcast which will stay on my box for a year, I believe. Please consider bringing L.B.C. back. Thank you!
I agree!!! I love this show!!! I hope they reconsider!!!
That was the problem they weren’t thinking.Have you seen some of the crap they have on now?The Lizzie Borden Chronicles was there best show such a stupid move by Lifetime instead of showing the LBC they show repeats of shows and movies all of the time who needs to see the same movies about 6-8 times a week ?? I don’t think that Life time had no intention of giving this show a chance.

Lifetime wouldn’t know a hit show if it kicked them. Seriously this show is great! I waited up for this come on each week!!Christina Ricci plays her so well it is scary! You people at Lifetime need some mental help. You also cancelled The Lottery and that was a great show!
You got that right .Lifetime shows are garbage the only thing they have one is good movies and of course the best of all of them was the Lizzie Borden chronicles what could these clowns been thinking .So what if the ratings were low there are other shows that have stayed on with low ratings and you cannot tell me that those live shows are doing better the Lizzie Borden chronicles I adore Christina she made a perfect Lizzie, and those eyes of her’s wow. It is a shame that Lifetime wouldn’t know a good show if it kicked them in… Read more »
I loved the show. Lizzie was the perfect serial killer.
I think I only made it about fifteen minutes of the pilot before I tapped out. Everything just came across wrong. I’m surprised it made it this long
Wish I had known this was even on. I would have watched it…. Read several books about her.
Wonder if this will be on in repeats. Anyone know?
I don’t know about repeats but Netflix has it to rent but I had to save it so it could take awhile to get it matter of fact it was already there even before the series started, if it is on dvd that means sooner or later someone will have it to buy which I plan on doing I already brought the Lizzie Bordon took an ax movie you can always check out critics choice I also got the Legend of Lizzie Borden there to but I love the chronicles CR is a lot better Lizzie then anyone else that… Read more »
