You know that old line about “Please, don’t shoot the messenger”? Well, The CW has done just that. The network has cancelled The Messengers after one season. Only three episodes have aired thus far.
On The Messengers TV show, a mysterious object plummets to Earth and explodes in a blinding flash. It sends out a shock wave that instantly connects five strangers. They receive extraordinary gifts, from inexplicable strength to the ability to heal others. The cast includes Shantel VanSanten, Jon Fletcher, Sofia Black-D’Elia, J. D. Pardo, Joel Courtney, Anna Diop, and Diogo Morgado.
The move to cancel the series doesn’t come as much of a surprise. The Messengers has performed quite poorly so far, even for a Friday night show. Last week’s installment hit a new low with just 650,000 viewers and a 0.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
For now, it looks like the series will stay on the air to finish out its run of 13 total episodes.

This is so sad this was a really good show, but because it talks about God it has offended someone.
Disappointed! Supernatural is my favorite TV show and I understand the series will be winding up next year. So Messengers was going to be the replacement — and now this! What about bringing Revolution back? KR

My husband and I along with friends and family members love this show and would like for the CW to give it more time. I’m sure ratings will go up.
Please put the messenger back in air the show has helped me in so many ways in life. I truely believe this show has helped saved my life nd showed me the better things in life nd excepting challlenges without any hesitation. I suffer from lupus nd thos show has been helping me heal from it nd i also suffer from severe depression so please air this show again god bless
The Messengers is an interesting TV series concept. Although it can use some minor improvements in the script, it was interesting and entertaining. It should never have been cancelled just giving more time to build attention and the following.p

Seems that Networks always cancel the great TV shows, just as they did with “The Following” now “The Messengers” This was not only a great series but left a important message.

Please don’t cancel this show ! It is a decent family show that the whole family can watch ! Move it to another night ! Much better than Dominion on Syfy ! Not many family shows left to watch !

This show definitely deserved a second season, at least.
This show has increased it’s ratings since the 3rd episode where it was canceled. The story is coming together nicely and the characters have developed into a good team, with differences and common ground to work together. This is what a good cast is suppose to do. This show should not be canceled and at least given a chance. Haven be placed on Friday night for a summer show it needs a chance to at least see if ratings can give a rounded and true opinion.
