TV show description:
This mockumentary TV series features characters originally imagined by Jim Henson’s workshop. The cast of Muppeteers all perform multiple roles. The series follows the lives of the Muppet crew behind the Up Late with Miss Piggy talk show.
Originally against the idea, diva Miss Piggy (Eric Jacobson) is persuaded by ex-boyfriend and Executive Producer Kermit the Frog (Steve Whitmire) to allow the documentary to take place.
The show’s house band is Electric Mayhem. Led by Dr. Teeth (Bill Barretta) on keyboard, we have bass player Floyd Pepper (Matt Vogel), Janice (David Rudman) on guitar, Zoot (Dave Goelz) on sax, and of course no one else but Animal (Jacobson) on drums.
The show’s head writer is Gonzo (Goelz), booking agent is Scooter (Rudman) and the shows props are designed and built by careless scientist Dr. Bunsen Honeydew (Goelz) and his frazzled assistant, Beaker (Steve Whitmire). Sam Eagle (Jacobson) serves as the head executive of broadcast standards and practices for ABC.
Kermit’s best friend and struggling stand-up Fozzie Bear (Jacobson) is having relationship issues as his human girlfriend’s parents disapprove of her dating a bear. A part on the show as Miss Piggy’s sidekick just may be the break he needs to prove he’s worthy.
Episode #16 — Because… Love
After her stint in the hospital, Miss Piggy and Kermit reevaluate their relationship, and Kermit turns to rocker Jack White for advice.
First aired: March 1, 2016.
What do you think? Do you like The Muppets TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
This is a clever, smart, nostalgic-but-also-hip show. RENEW!!!!!
\
Please do not cancel the Muppets. ABC has done a fantastic job of bringing the muppets current. The humor is clever on so many levels. Our family loves it.
This show is the only twinkle of hope in an otherwise drab world!
Garbage!
There is something wrong with the world when we have shows like the Kardashians, 10 wives reality shows and other unwatchable shows have high ratings and the Muppets Show is threatened to be cancelled?! The show is smart, funny and a breath of fresh air. Please do not cancel it!!! Please have the guts to leave it on the air and don’t succumb to the pressure of mediocrity.
Our world is in turmoil, I look forward to Tuesday to see the adorable Muppets. It is the only show on the air that continually makes me laugh and smile……..Please keep it on the air. It is loved by my whole family ages 7 to 95
The show is fantastic. I grew up with the muppets and it’s fun to see them in a grown up way. The muppets are adults now, just like the rest of us and dealing with those problems. It’s brilliant and needs to stay on the air!
You’re so right – people comment that The Muppets is too adult – they’re adults now!
The show is so creative and funny. I love the characters and hope you keep the show on for a long time.
yeah it’s a mess and a stretch, not nearly as funny as I’d expect but the muppets are lovable; and most importantly it’s a rare TV show that me & the mrs. can watch with the kids. Family night has returned. Please give it a chance, at least a full season…. with closure. Kids heart will be broken if its prematurely cancelled
I don’t believe it is a mess, but I agree with everything else you said.

ABC Made A Mistake With The Muppets They Are Trying To Make This Show A Reality Show And Its Killing The Muppets Episodes 3 I Didnt Laugh At All The Ratings Are Going Down Every Week Go Back To The Way It Was The Only Way To Save It PLEASE
Please don’t cancel. It’s great. Love it. Family night has returned.
I love the new muppets show! I’m thrilled to watch it! My entire family loves it as well as my friends. I am 54 years old and cannot get enough muppets! Please do not cancel it.
I was disappointed. It is ok, but I wanted more corny jokes and the variety show format. There are enough “reality” shows without making the Muppets into one. I will watch a few more times, but if it doesn’t improve, I will probably stop.
Loved the first show!!!! Characters introduced and developed with love and humor. Special effects were amazing. WELCOME BACK, MUPPETS!
Haven’t watched it yet but will do that today…. I love THE MUPPETS!
